HDTV stock plays?

If you are *really* committed to HDTV and thing it is truly "The next big thing" then you should be willing to put your money where you mouth is . . . investing. What HDTV related stocks are available? Laser Pacific Studios(LPAC) is one . . . they are a digital post-production studio. Silicon Image (SIMG) is another . . . they make the DVDO line doubler & the Si503 chip used in that line-doubler and some progressive scan DVD players.

Can some people suggest some other HDTV (or DVD) stocks?

Just about a year ago (SIMG)was close to $40.00. What happened?

How about STMicroelectronics (STM)? They have the new STi7200 HDTV chip they just introduced. Also they seem to be the stongest of the semis.

I dunno . . . but I only care about what happens going forward. Right now, the DVDO & Si503 chip are probably just a tiny slice of their revenue.

Agreed.
That was in the past.
Sorry to bring that up. That was negative and we need to stay positive.

I spent $600 on the iScan Plus, from Silicon Image, 18 months ago and the thing died a couple weeks ago.

All they offered me was a $150 rebate on a new iScan, which goes for around $700, stating that mine would be "too costly" to repair.

If the average lifespan of a product they sell is 18 months, I doubt they'll be in business very long. I wouldn't sink a penny into their company.

I think the Star Wars he is referring to is Episode II.
Last I heard George Lucas does not want ny of the Star Wars flicks broadcast or available in a "digital mastertype" format.

Most recent movies are availble on DVD or PPV within 12 months these days. Followed by Premium cable or Network.

I have been buying Sage Inc. (SAGI) Nasdaq.
