Please help an HDTV newbie.

I live in Winston-Salem, NC, which is about 100 miles from Raleigh and 80 from Charlotte, where I know there are HD local channels on the air.

I have a WEGA XBR, and am wondering if I need to start bugging the wife now for a HD tuner. Is there a website or something where I can find info on what I should be able to pick up OTA HD-wise? What should I expect to pay for an antenna, what kind, and how big would I need?

I really can't upgrade this year, but a step in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

These two sites should give you a good start: http://www.antennaweb.org – OTA (off the air) antenna help
http://www.titantv.com/ - great place to find local DTV channels available in your area as well as great help for selecting an antenna

These sites are just about HDTV:

http://www.hdtvgalaxy.com/ - great place to find out what is televised in HDTV, good general information

http://www.hdpictures.com/ - HDTV info center (on of the best resource sites)

http://www.ilovehdtv.com/ - hdtv daily magazine
