Questions from newbie

Thread Starter
I have been looking at some HDTV's for a while. It is a large investment so I am looking for some info on which to buy. The best picture I have seen in store has been the 16-9 50in Toshibia. They are getting a 55in 16-9 in soon, is bigger always better. Will I hate my 16-9 while watching regular TV? Is there a faq somewhere that I can look at to make sure I am getting all the features I need for the future. If not which features do you believe are mandatory. Which is considered the best HDTV bang for the buck. Thanks for helping a newbie.

Go as big as your room will support. Some manufactures put the same stuff in a 55 or 65. The 65 will not look as crisp.
I have a 56" and sit 8 feet away. I would go as big as you can afford. It took about one day to get use to stretch mode. Not one person has said people look funny. Before you rush in wait to see the 55".
