I surf the forum alot but I don't post all that much, I just got a new gaming PC after 5 years. Just thought I would share the specs

2 Geforce 6800 Ultras 256MB GDDR3
2 74GB WD Raptors 10,000RPM Raid 0 16MB Cache

Lite-on 52x32x52x CD-RW Drive
SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS 7.1
Samsung 213T 21.3" LCD Monitor 1600x1200 25ms
Windows XP Pro

Finally be able to run Doom3 in full on graphics :D

Nice system! Do you still have both your arms, or did you have to trade one in for those dual 6800 Ultra cards?!?! best of luck.

Wow! That is just badass, acid. That must have set you back at LEAST 3 grand. Well worth it though. That machine needs a much bigger display than that 21" Samsung. At least a 50" plasma if not a 720P front projector! I am jealous.

That is indeed a supercomputer. How about a picture? Benchmarks?

I would have recommended going with a 1920x1200 monitor, the hp is only 1.5k. 1600x1200 just seems too crowded after I got one!

I just built a bleeding edge rig based on the x800xt and I recommend the following eye candy games:

Half-Life 2 (and the gorgeous Counter-Strike Source)
Far Cry
Unreal Tournament 2004 (and the wonderful Red Orchestra mod)

and Doom 3 if you feel like looking at a black screen because the friggin game is so dark!

and PS do you know about Omega Drivers? I got 20 more fps in HL2 when are started using them.

Hawkwing-- I have a 60" Sony GWII that I hook it up to every now and again.

Chris--I'll post pics as soon as I can..I have not benchmaked it however haven't looked for a benchmarking program on the web Do you have any links to sites I can test it with? I have the omega drivers loaded in, and thanks for the game and monitor suggestions.

3dMark05 is a free benchmark. Counterstrike: Source comes with one as well.

With a rig like that, I don't think it matters what drivers he uses ;)

Cool. I too a have Paradigm system (Studio series).

Man when 1080p tvs/projectors actually accept 1080p signals, you rig would able to handle that resolution with ease - imagine Half Life 2 in 1080p .
