cheers 3no, ill have to try the calibration tool out tommorow as its morning here, and during the day, my room is not light controlled
One thing, yesterday i watched the matrix, and i must say, it was a great experience, colors were vivid, blacks were black, shadows detail was great, and light scenes were very nice as well, not too contrasty, but more of a cool sort of look, really nice!
Straight after that,i watched Final Fantasy spirits within, colors were fine, though this is one heck of a dark movie. Problem was that the blacks in the dark scenes were just not right, i mean they were way too light and washed out........could this be more to do with the source movie itself more than anything else,it was so bad i just couldnt watch it. For me to get a good picture out of this i had to change my pj iris from 4 to 2 just to get a good black level???,
One thing for sure is that my reference black is at the right levels, and the greyscale gradients look okay to me.
So for anyone else whos watched it, could this movie just be a one off with the wrong video levels as its an animated flick.
thanks in reply,im finally getting somewhere with my calibration
btw could someone please confirm that the matrix has a green tint to the movie ???
