Grey's Anatomy on ABC - Page 32

No echo that I noticed on my TV.

Great episode last night. The ending was very poignant and reminded me a bit of this week's NCIS in a much more serene way. I actually felt my eyes getting moist during the final "dance dream." RIP Adele.
Yeah I thought Adele wasn't appearing anymore and she would settle in the Home, well but now she's really gone.. too bad all the effort Baley had to do to save her... oh well..
I sniffed up at the end when they did the wedding dance to "Funny Little Valentine". Really sad to see Adele go but; if the Chief's character is to continue to evolve - she had to go, that story line ran out.

^That story line ran out before it got started.  First Mer's mom, then Adele.  For a show with a medical backstory, I expect more of the writers than going back to the same well.

What an unusual week, when more than one show kills off recurring characters in midseason.

Disagree. The show has been on since March, 2005. People die in real life and on TV shows.

^The medical condition I was referring to wasn't dying, it was more the early Alzheimer's story line.  I expect more medical variety in a show with a medical backdrop.  Not to mention all the personal medical crises and accidents sustained by a small core of regulars.

I'm not feeling this whole selling of the hospital storyline. To me, the only clear, logical, and inevitable conclusion to this is that the doctors will pool their settlement winnings and buy the damn thing themselves. Reopen the ER. All is right with the world. If not, I'll eat my words.

I agree. As a long time fan of this series, this plot turn has been very disappointing.

Wow, you must have been reading ABC's mail. Of course, I think many of us thought the same thing.

On a side note, it's good to see Constance Zimmer doing an extended guest shot on this show. I've liked her ever since shows like Boston Legal, Joan of Arcadia, and Good Morning, Miami.

Trying to do the math here, how much each plane victim got and how much a hospital worth?

Screw the math. It's just a TV show and they can do or justify anything they want to. Do we really have to over-analyze everything? smile.gif

Yeah, also the logic of having enough money to live luxuriously all your life and still 20 hour shifts? mmmm

Whatever happened to the Denny Duquette Memorial Clinic that Izzie Stevens funded with the money she inherited from Denny?
This show continues to be one of my favorites. Last night's episode was stellar.

Some points

Arizona falling head over heel for that pretty Doctor, c'mon she's been thru a lot with Torres and she falls for the first pretty girl she meets? (although it seems that new Doctor wants to do her married or not)

Bailey became OCD, I just hope it was just this episode..

Weird twist at the end, that guy should be in jail or very least expelled from the hospital.
Well the twist at the end COULD be she is a stalker and self inflicted the wounds shades of fatal attraction.
oh and I googled Arizona Robbins and she seems to be the only one out there in the internet... (who would name a daughter Arizona anyway LOL)

She has a Facebook and Twitter account also..

I guess that is a slight possibility, but Karev has been saying all along what a jerk Jason is, not just on this show but on previous ones as well. And when Karev (Alex) saw Jo and Jason fighting in the hospital at the end of his (Alex's) shift, when he got home from the bar and saw Jo sitting there, it was pretty obvious that she and Jason had a fight even before she turned around.

Great season finale! However, I saw the cliffhanger ending coming a mile away. As soon as the electrician told Dr. Weber that all someone needed to do was "flip the switch," I knew that with all of the water on the floor precautions should have been taken. Now we have to wait until September to see if... (insert answer here).

I don't know he looked dead to me... I also saw that coming, but I thought they are going to show him electrocuting himself when he threw the switch..

Of course we knew Grey was going to survive, the show it's called Grey's Anatomy not Sheppard's.. LOL

I still hate the Arizona character, what the heck?

I hope he's not dead. Remember, they have nine minutes to revive him to prevent brain damage, according to Meredith (just before she lost conscientiousness). I've grown to really like his character. Maybe Miranda will save him.

I don't care much for Arizona, either.

Yep!!!
If it is any consolation, the actor is signed for season 10. May not mean anything though.

Okay, Arizona. I don't find her story believable. Her freaking life was saved by the actions of Callie! And from what we've been presented of her character, cheating did not seem like it was in her to do. And why is that always the go-to things for PTSD in these shows? /sigh

Excellent two-hour season premiere this week. This is still one of my favorites as was St. Elsewhere, Chicago Hope, and (of course) ER.
I miss Chicago Hope.

Loved a whole 2 hours of this show and so many things going on, and again they killed the brightest and prettiest girl intern, Shonda must have a problem with them..

Was/is Ellen Pompeo pregnant in real life?
She was but not at the same time her character was.

It was an okay return. As much as I love this show and savor it as my guilty pleasure, it's getting long in the tooth. How many traumatic events can the same set of people go through? They've run out of main characters to put in life-threatening situations or have life-saving surgeries on. Not sure the writers have a real big picture view anymore. Guess they can always keep bringing in more expendables.

As I said at the end of last season, I don't find Arizona's choice believable--and it was also tired (sex to make me feel better from the trauma I've experienced)--nor do I find anything appealing in Kepner/Avery or Christina/Owen any more. Makes me sad that even I am ready for this show to be done. And if it is indeed Sanda Oh's last, will probably be mine too...if not before then.

I've always disliked the Arizona character since the plane crash. Hope she goes away, but if not at least maybe someone will slap her around a bit.
