Just got back from a trip to my local mini-BB (my town is too small to rate a full size one) to pick up a new Firewire card. Instead, I spent an hour comparing dlp and dila sets. As I as walking out, I asked the guy who had spent the last 30 mins switching inputs and settings for me where he kept his remotes. As someone noted before, we went to furthest aisle back among the small screen crts (I'd never noticed it before!) and there he had two Harmony 880s. I mentioned that I was going to wait for mass distribution to begin in two to three weeks and get one much cheaper on the internet. He told me that I could bring it back anytime within 30-days and they would match any competitor's lower price (but, not an internet only shop) that I could show them. So I bought one. I just hope now that Logitech really does begin mass distribution in the 2-3 week time frame because not only did I pay the full price but also the 8% sales tax. Dumb? Yea. But, I really needed to buy something to hold me over until the new 1080p sets are out! ;)

I simply couldn't wait and bought one from Ebay for $179.99. They are going to ship it by the weekend. There are still like 5 more in their auction.

Don't worry, they also have a 30 day return policy. If you can't get a good price match, just return it.

The first part is the receipt from the store, I bet BB uses their own number and not the UPC, even though the UPC will link to their number. I assume theri number is the 7135977?

I only saw two on ebay and one had 2 days left and the other 6days and they said Pre-Order. Good luck. If I were smart, I would go buy the other 7 from BB and ebay them from $299.

Yes one auction has two days left and the other 6 days left. However,
he will have 25 in stock on Friday May 6, and will ship over the weekend
or early next week. Also, the second auction has a buy it now option and don't have to wait until it ends to get the product.

To sell at 299 doesn't leave you with a good profit margin because you have to pay some fees to Ebay.:(

Best Buy has an exclusive on them right now, so unless it's someone who works for BB that's selling them, they won't be getting any this week.

I wouldn't do it anyway, not worth my time, anyway, if I had more time on this board (like the Jetski and Treo ones) i would just go and buy what i could for anyone here and as long as I get covered for the cost ($249+tax) and shipping, I would do it. However, I don't have enough time here, I would only do this for Htwaits at this point. I don't have a repore with onyone else yet, not that I do with Htwaits ;) , but I trust him. Let me rephrase that, I have spent enought time with him PMing that I feel good about the lack of risk.

peole on boards are like family, it anit right to rake them though the coles for a little profit.

OK, the 880 just jumped to a 8.5, that's up 0.5 points. The wife says she doesn't know why, but perfers this one and she also says she feels she can understand it better too..so perhaps it was just me. After programing the 880 somemore, I am liking it better too.
Just FYI for anyone sho cares.

Ebay guy saying that there is a delay, and if I want to get it
sooner that I should get it from BB.

I pick one of these up at Best Buy in Seattle yesterday. They had to dig it out of the back room. Customer service gave a 10% discount for waiting. Paid $224.00.

We have not seen it in Southern California yet! The local BB in Pasadena did not even know about the remote. I wasnt that surprised though! I actually had to show them it on their computer(ON LINE).

The good thing is that at least it is out there. I have been waiting for my SOny DHG HDD250 HDTV DVR since last November...That is a painful wait!!! I can hang on for 2 weeks or sooner for this remote...

Well the 880 just jumped up to 8.75.
The fonts of the test will change size so you can see the whole word in the display for the sub menu. Unlike the 659 where if I had "Picture Mode" where the work "mode" would be missing and the "re" of picture would bleed into the next word, the 880 will make word "picture" small and "Mode" larger and stck one on top of the other. Too cool!

Just picked up my 880 from Best Buy in Beaverton. They now have 7 left. The Portland store also has them. The guy had a hard time finding it over the phone because I told him to look for Harmony 880. He found it by searching for Logitech.

Charging the battery now. Hopefully this is compatible with OS X 10.4 (Tiger). Box says 10.2 or later, but you never know.

I'm using the Motorola 6412 cable box/DVR from Comcast. Which profile should I use?

philips aint nitpicky about the whole authorized dealer thing, thus you can get a TSU3000 with docking station for less than $300 off ebay, and that is a new unit. Anyways, I hope you can get a pricematch
