What makes you think I did or could manually set the clock on the Artec? The fact the only thing the T3AP- LL asked me was to set was my time zone, Pacific. I did mention that the clock was 3 hours off (Eastern Time) when I first connected it but that was corrected in the morning. That's when I noticed that time/date had been set on the Pioneer TV. The [Search for Time] in the TVGOS set-up window was checked DONE. I was able to set Reminds with accuracy manually just like you set Record on a DHG with NO LISTINGS with ease if you had a clock. The TVGOS embedded in the Pioneer TV does not have a record option only REMIND.
The question is why the v9 TVGOS in the Pioneer sets the TVGOS clock and not the clock v9 in my Toshiba? The only thing difference between the TVs is the antenna two inputs, the Pioneer only receives Analogue. I've tried to set-up the Toshiba every which way with no luck. I'm headed to my storage locker this weekend retrieve a DHG, hoping I will have luck.
I did a search and found some photos of the T3AP-LL and a AVL Forum “Coupon Eligible Converter Box (CECB)” start reading at post #181. eBay had links to the T3AP-LL for Ten bucks but the packing boxes pictured read T3AP-(other numbers) no LL, maybe that should be LOL.
I’m looking at the packing box right now and it reads LL, the number on the bottom of the unit reads the same. The manual for the Artec doesn’t list a model number; in fact nowhere does it ever even say Artec. Only outlined drawings of the unit that look like the LL are in the manual. The manual for the LL came right from packing box which was new and unopened.
I bought Two of the LL’s years back; one is in my RV because it runs on 12vdc and runs old TV’s. The other was stored away. I never had use for the stored unit until I wanted to receive digital OTA programming on my Pioneer antenna two, which again I state only receives Analogue.
I guess it could be stated that something unique happens when marring the Pioneer to the LL. All I know is that it works and I don’t know if it’s that unique. I also know that the signal is not coming from a Rovi inserter.
Never asked to set the clock, just for help and I’m getting that, Thanks.
