I can't wait to read it too. I should get my DF tomorrow and I can report on how well it works with my equipment. I can't wait to finally get 1080i 3:2 pulldown in da house!

Glad to here some of you are getting the Dragonfly. Please post your settings and impressions. My question is how to set all the settings. You can control color, contrast, brightness, sharpness detail on the DF, 300e, or Denon 3910 dvd player, so what settings should come from where. Thanks Greg

Initially I plan to use the "direct" mode on my Pioneer DV-59Avi and output 480i via HDMI to the DF where all the settings will be adjusted. The only problem with "direct" mode though is that it cuts BTB and WTW via HDMI (similar problem to the Toshiba HD-A1 HD-DVD). So I may have to use another mode on the DV-59AVI to get the best setup (time to read up on the DV-59 owners thread).

At any rate, I hope to have the unit up and running tomorrow so I can report on how well it works.

now....you CAN get a 1080i 3:2 pulldown using component right? Just curious.

I agree Greg. That'll be my question also. To start though, I'm going to gamble on the video processor [M and DF] to be the main control unit for....."video processing". I'll set everything else to neutral.

Processing wise, yes. It locks onto things like you can't believe. The DVE PAL S&W moving framerate pattern resolves like a dream. I've never seen it resolve as nicely as that. The ABT102 comes a close second.

what is the nature of your problem? and what is the equipement (DVD & proj)?

I received tech support response back from Algolith. Since the Dragonfly does not have a front display, you can get lost in a unsupported resolution. Algolith advised me that to reset the resolution back to 720x480p60 with the remote press "format" then "1" (for PAL users it is "format" then "2" for 720x576p50). Algolith also advised that a resolution change can take up to 20 seconds, so one should not go and press remote button repetitively.

I have a SONY "Ruby" 1080p projector. Last night I spent a lot of time trying out different resolutions and inputs into projector. I will post a recap later of my progress including successes and failures. Let's just say for right now at the end of the night I was pleased. :)

Fed Ex just dropped off my DF. I have to travel this week so I won't have a chance to do anything with it for awhile. I did stop long enough though, to open the package to see what this baby is supposed to look like...and it is nice. I did notice though that while picking it out of the box, it had been opened. The little white accessory box was opened on both ends and the unit was loaded in the box upside down. And when I picked it up to turn it over, I heard something rattling around inside the unit. I'm guessing customs had something to do with it.....though I truthfully don't know. I won't be firing the unit up for a couple of days but in the interim, can any of you guys comment on the rattling around stuff. There's no reason for anything to be moving around inside the cage of a video processor is there?

Reading in the other post, it seems as if the processor fan is prone to coming unclipped during transit - I suspect that is what has happened with your unit.

Hey guys, I started up an owners discussion thread for the DF. I started a new thread because this current thread has 10 pages of ("what's the latest with the ship date on the DF"). It makes it more difficult for people to find useful information on how to use the unit.

Ofer, when is your DF review for secrets going to be up? Which SW version did you review the unit with? After playing around with this unit for a week or so now I kinda know what the review will be like ;) You may wan to review it again after a few more SW releases.
