Sony SXRD 50" and 60" - Oct/Nov - Page 209

Hi guys I am new here. I just wanted to know if anyone has their settings for the 60 inch SXRD DLP available to post. I really want to get my picture really nice for my xbox 360.

The SXRD's are not "DLP". Different technology.

You don't say what model of 60" SXRD that you have, but the different models each have their own "settings and tweaks" threads.

Well I have a 60 inch 1080p DLP. I know it has an SXRD chip in it. Sorry about me not knowing too much. My tvs code or whatever is KDS60R2000. So which forum would I go to?

Again, if you have a Sony SXRD, it is not a "DLP". They are different technologies. You can read a primer about DLP on Crutchfield's website here (click) and read more about Sony's SXRD LCoS technology here.


That is your display's model number, and it appears to my brief glance to more-or-less be the Asian/Pacific version of the XBR2 with some differences. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, this forum tends to be pretty US-centric and I don't see a thread for your R2000. You might try starting a new thread of your own (with the model number in the title) to see if any other readers have experience with tweaking the R2000's.

I've heard a couple of people say the same thing. "...I have a Sony SXRD 1080P DLP set..." Those sales people really have no idea when they tell the customer these things.
It's almost as bad when they sell people an upconverting DVD player and tell the customer it plays High definition movies. And many of the customers believe them.

This is 100 % true... A sales Person should know all product line before they go solo...
