Will have to take one for ya and post it. It is just a flat black ceiling with 6 can lights that are each individually controlled with one of the grafik eyes. NO stars though. The crown around the edges is stepped down about 7" from the ceiling, so the rope light hidden inside it illuminates the ceiling a pretty red glow when on.

Thanks for the quick reponse. I sounds like a simple be effective design. I'll look for a pic when you get a chance :)

Wow! Simply, utterly amazing.

You know, with all the amazing home theater setups, I wonder what the rest of peoples' houses look like?

Do you have an amazing bathroom with granite floors, dual shower heads, whirlpool tub?

What about a commercial kitchen with Viking ranges, dual electric convection ovens, and sub-zero refrigerator?

I would be pleased if you could post more pictures, I mean lots of pictures.

Umm.....yes to all of the above, except floors are travertine.

HAHAH, omg.

You are a man of fine taste, AND you do your homework.

You and your house are exactly where I want to be in about 15 years. NICE JOB!

I did the same thing with the crown / rope light combo. It really looks great. I did do a neat trick on the ceiling and used paint that has flecks of granite in it. You don't get pseudo stars during the show but when you turn up the house lights (mounted facing up in wall columns) the whole ceiling sparkles.

Novel idea about the reflective flecks in there. I like it. I'm sure it looks nice at a nice price also.

Any chance of posting a floor plan? I am interested in your riser measurements the most. Ours will be a bit shorter and not as wide but I really want the three rows. BTW how long did it take you to plan it and would you change anything?

Sorry no postable floor plans, since I drew them from hand. The risers are 12" up and each step is 6" at the stairs. The length of each platform is about 7.5', which allows the chairs to be reclined and people can still pass w/o bothering those watching to unrecline their seats.

As I mentioned earlier, the only thing I would change presently would be to planned for better cooling in the equipment room. Otherwise I love it.

Gorgeous!!!! Stunning!! I Love It!! I only wish ours would look like that! :D

This update is coming shamelessly late. Anyhow, I finally got around to updating my website below in my sig. with some new pics of the theater and added equipment room pictures.

Also, some wanted to see the ceiling can configuration. Here is a link below for that:

http://home.pacbell.net/rajeek/CeilingLights.jpg

The top of your page is the front and the rear is toward the bottom. That white circle toward the back is the smoke detector for the room just above the projector.

For those of you who remember, one 6 Zone Grafik Eye (There are two 6 Zone Grafik Eyes for the room itself) controls just these 6 lights shown above, so each single can light can be individually turned on or off and dimmed to any level. That way virtually any person in any seat in the theater can eat, read or do whatever without the light bothering adjacent watchers. Kind of like your own personal spotlight.

The door certainly looks impressive! Félicitations pour le beau travail!

So, I missed this thread when you first started it, but better late than never, right?

Very nice theater. The construction as well as the design are first rate and will help to short out many keyboards as the drool drops from the gaping mouths.

30+ ehternet ports and 13 active phone extensions in the house? Wow, I can't even imagine that... The house and the theater have to fit with each other, so the house must be very nice as well! :)

Thanks for sharing with us.
