CSI on CBS - Page 33

Good episode indeed. Yeah, I wonder where Brass was.

Good that they were able to get the evidence to match the story. Funny how whenever it's one of their own, things are different.

That guy won't spend a minute in jail with a halfway competent attorney.

(I do realize it's a TV show biggrin.gif )

I read yesterday that CSI has been extended with Ted Danson getting a new 2-year deal to stay on the show.

As for last night's episode, I like the quirky and funny episodes. My one problem with the episode was David, not only being married with child on the way (something never mentioned before), but he also has a smoking hot wife. I suppose that added to the humor element, but was also kind of crazy to me.

Was that real, or only his imagining, like his conversation with the murder victim in the morgue???

I didn't think of that. Maybe you're on to something.

Did Nick Stokes put on some weight? His face looked really plump.

Yeah....the wife noticed it right away...."Geez Nick - you're puttin on some weight" were her words to the TV,

PS....that little bit of liquid nitrogen the reunion organizer got dropped on her and magically went down her throat would have never caused the burn in her stomach....she would have had to guzzle some for that to happen....and she would have likely passed out before she could drink that much....in my early career we had a scanning electron microscope cooled by LN and Friday afternoons got kinda boring smile.gif

TV Notes
‘CSI’ Signs New Deal With Star Ted Danson, Is Renewed For Next Season By CBS
By Nellie Andreeva, Deadline.com - Mar. 20, 2013

Just like it recently did with NCIS and its star Mark Harmon, CBS has signed a new contract extension with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation leading man Ted Danson and simultaneously renewed the veteran crime drama for the 2013-14 season. I hear Danson, whose original two-year deal for the show was up this season, has signed another two-year pact. His salary has been well over $200,000 an episode. Also set to return next season are co-lead Elisabeth Shue and original cast members George Eads, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Paul Guilfoyle and Robert David Hall, along with Wallace Langham, Elisabeth Harnois, David Berman and Jon Wellner. The renewal will extend CSI‘s run to 14 seasons. With CSI: Miami ending last May and CSI: NY expected to follow it this year, the mothership series is expected to be the only CSI on the air next season. On NBC, first spinoff Law & Order: SVU actually outlasted the original Law & Order series and the second spinoff Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

“The writers and producers have done an amazing job evolving CSI, reinventing the show around an incredible leading man in Ted Danson, the acclaimed Elisabeth Shue and our beloved and talented core of original cast members,” CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler said. Added David Stapf, president of CBS TV Studios, which produces CSI. “CSI is one of the top global franchises and is seen in almost every country in the world.” CSI recently won the International TV Audience Award for the “most watched show in the world” for a third consecutive year and fifth time in seven years. On CBS, it has shored up the Wednesday 10 PM slot where it moved after a long run in the tentpole Thursday 9 PM position. Season to date, CSI is No. 1 in the hour in total viewers (11.85 million), adults 18-49 (2.9/08) and adults 25-54 (3.8/09). CSI is executive produded by Jerry Bruckheimer, showrunners Carol Mendelsohn and Don McGill, creator Anthony Zuiker, Jonathan Littman, Louis Milito, Ann Donahue, original star William Petersen and his producing partner Cindy Chvatal.

I don't think they've ever shown her before, but a few seasons ago they did make mention of his getting married so I believe that was real.

I'm more interested now in what Brody's big high school secret is that made her look sad when Greg said she must have been popular because she's hot.

Also meant to add when David and Finn were talking about high school, I was dying for her to say something along the lines of "I dated a boy from Reseda in high school", or for those who that would have been too obscure "I dated a boy who knew karate in high school".

I wondered that too. I've never worked in a lab, but from what I've seen of it, LN wouldn't quite work like that.

Sounded like Warren was getting his life back on track - was a teacher, got his skin back.... then he goes and kills another woman. I guess some things just don't change rolleyes.gif

Did Nick loose his razor? Again his face looks like a double tooth ache, very plump.. The episode reminded me of that series "Doomsday Preppers"..nice bunker..smile.gif

Maybe it's for another role he has during the down time - needs a beard and put on some weight.

Is Brass gone from the show or just on hiatus? I honestly can't remember the last time we saw him.
I like to have Brass in the show even though detectives are pretty much superfluous when lab techs interview witnesses and have all the gun play in the crime solving.

Blast from the Past!? Where's Christopher Watkin!?

: sigh: oh... I just dated myself...
I have to say that last night's esipsode was one of the better ones they've done in a long time. Reminded me a lot of the earlier seasons. You had two cases going at once (used to be a staple of the show), Brass being back and getting after people, a very compassionate D.B., primary story had some emotional moments with some good humor in the second storyline. Just when I think the show is going through the motions, they put out one like last night's.
Another cliffhanger season finale!?! That's what they did last year. Matter of fact, last year was a cliffhanger on D.B. Russell's daughter who was missing/kidnapped and this year was Brass's daughter was was missing/kidnapped. I want to find out what happens! eek.gif
post #983 of 986
They typically do a season-ending cliffhanger. Good episode.
It was a pretty good ep - I would have preferred Elizabeth Harnois to be undressed in MY living room though. . . smile.gif
post #985 of 986
they should have had subtitles for Ozzie, good finale with Black Sabbath playing..
