CSI on CBS - Page 34

I wouldn't want to work as a LV CSI (don't know about the other CSI's - didn't watch them). Almost every major character has been kidnapped (or had a family member kidnapped) or been taken hostage or has been shot or stabbed or buried under a car with flood water coming or ...

I think I'd avoid working someplace with that much on-the-job danger.

Does anyone know whether seasons 2-8 will ever be released on BluRay or if they'll be available for viewing at Netflix or somewhere similar? I know they are shown on Spike, but those as hard to catch in order of release. Only seasons 7-8 are on cbs.com. Vudu has them, but they're basically pay per view. The cost adds up pretty quickly. I'd love to go back and watch the series from the beginning until the time I started watching, which was around season 6 or 7.

Wasn't that the first time she actually appeared on the show?

The ex-wife of Jim Brass? No, she's never been on before. The daughter has maybe once or twice, but I don't recall ever seeing this character before.

Second, I believe. She was also in last years season finale.

Yeah, I was thinking of Brass's ex since it was her funeral.  Maybe Taxman did mean Ellie since she'll be locked up now.

Hey earle.  I couldn't really remember what had happened in the season ender last spring so I recorded it a couple weeks ago when they re-aired it and watched it before the season premier.  I was thinking about the two part story being her first appearance on the show.  Anyway, it definitely appears it will be her last!

i though that Morgan was fatally shot. glad to see that the cast is still together but Brass's family took a big hit.

George Eads was put on some kind of sabbatical, so he will be out of several of the episodes.

An alleged clash with writers over creative differences on the direction of his character...  His mutating hairstyle maybe? ;)

She might have appeared in one other episode dealing with Ellie's disappearance some years back if memory serves but it might have been her first, I.D.K.

I loved how it picked up exactly where it left off, CSI may be slacking a bit but that two episode arc was well done. The girl in the boat totally looked like Morgan. My wife kept saying it was the reporter.

Crazy episode. Don't think I've ever seen Brass cry before

hahahaha....it sure did change a lot over the course of last season!

I finally watched it last night. I had stayed out of this thread, but accidentally saw the line about "her wanting out of the episode." So I was really relieved when Morgan lived. eek.gif

I have to admit missing/forgetting a bunch in the arc of the two shows, but casting Brass' daughter as the ultimate baddie left me puzzled as to the motivations for the deaths patterned on Dante's Inferno. Was it ever explained why she and her boyfriend chose to mimic the nine scenarios in that old German classic? Neither seemed to ever be the kind to study medieval German literature.

It looked to me that the writers wrote themselves into a corner and choose a wild trapdoor to get out. Fail.

I didn't get that either. That was a big reach.

Dante Alighieri would probably be quite upset that you refer to him as a German, as Italian as he is... smile.gif

What happened to Willows reappearing on the 300th ep? They only showed her in past eps.

Seriously! I can't believe that "Marg Helgenberger returns" was nothing more than a few flashback scenes.

Granted, I don't know if that was actual old footage or just new footage made to look like it was an old case, but I expected her to actually be in the episode modern day. Hell, I'm surprised they didn't say William Petersen returns as well since they showed him in a few clips at the end. rolleyes.gif

If you looked close you could tell the flashbacks were recently taped, Sara & Catherine both looked like they do now...

Exactly. That's why the post-processed it with some sort of filtering to dull the colors and the look of it overall - to make it look older than it really was and to hide their current age. If you compared the actual flashbacks at the very end, you can see the age difference to the case "flashbacks".

Nick is off for a few episodes, some kind of dispute with a writer.
Reportedly he returns with Catherine in time for 'sweeps'

In another flashback? biggrin.gif

I was a little disappointed in that. Though, I'll give the film team a thumbs up. They made Marg look much less like an alien than she does now. eek.gif

I'm honestly surprised that Petersen hasn't been coaxed back into at least one episode by now (although I think he would warrant a two-parter).

Not that this show seems to need it, but that would be a huge ratings boost if he were to ever return.

i agree, Gil would be a huge draw in a show.. Maybe he wants the network to spell his name Gil Gri$$om..biggrin.gif

He was in an episode a couple of seasons ago when he chatted with Sara over the computer about their relationship. His mother was a character in that episode.

As much as we'd like to see Grissom back on the show, he's doing his thing in theater and still making some money from the show as executive producer. He seems pretty content.
