In fact, when my sisters Sony TV went out a few years ago (under warranty), I was the one who arranged for repairs via our areas certified repair company. I was also the one who was at her house when they came over to fix the TV and all they cared about was the serial # and the original receipt. Didn't ask to verify who I was or ask for proof that I was the original purchasing. Just having the receipt was all they needed as that allowed them to bill the repair costs to Sony under coverage of warranty.
I guess my question is how does a company know? If I send in a Center 3 that someone else originally bought but include the original receipt, how does Paradigm prove that I am or am not the original owner? Doe they ask for proof of ID?
I understand it says the warranty is non-transferable...not arguing that. Just wondering if it is even something that is checked/verified when an item is sent in for repairs under warranty, and if so, how?

I'm not sure this clause is always enforced, but it is a way to get out of repairs. When my Panasonic TV was serviced under warranty it was done through a 3rd party repair company authorized by Panasonic. They verified both my invoice & id.
