I am seriously thinking about switching do a different company after my next upgrade.

my dealer placed an order friday recieved monday and is in route to deliever in an hour or so..

Maybe. Happy to hear it worked out for you though.

Oh, I guess the two sister companies have one distribution network then. I would say from the pic that anthem uses pretty cheap batteries, as is common in the industry. Too bad about that, seems kind of shortsighted.

Yes, plus they dig deeper.

That crack should have been caught before it was boxed up. Where's the QC?

Found the crack in the speakers yesterday so I'm waiting to hear back from the dealer on what they're going to do with that.

On a better note. I pulled the trigger on the Sub 12 .. that's one expensive A$$ sub... but I wanted it to match.

I wish it were done properly and caught. The box it came in was in good condition also so it wasn't due to shipping.

Congrats on receiving your set! Glad everything's in good condition. I thought bass was a little low with the AVR set flat, but at +2db to bass it sounds great!! What's your bass at?

Jesus man, sorry to hear it. Try not to dwell on it until you have any definitive answers. Then get a second and maybe a third opinion. Just get lost in some music and movies.
My wife's having her gallbladder out tomorrow so I'll just add you to the "good thoughts" list.

This is exactly the sort of thing the dealer is supposed to catch. That is why they ship to the dealer instead of direct to you. Aren't they usually opened & inspected by the dealer? Or do they give them directly to the customer.

The store I go to sends all their stuff unopened to customers

That is the last thing I would want.....someone opening my expensive speakers which should be perfect and "checking out the finnish" on my behalf.

The ones I've bought from my local dealer came in a closed factory box. The dealer doesn't have any idea of damage. If they opened the boxes to look, customers would say they're demo's or used.

I've bought and sold speakers online and the shippers have managed to damage most of them. My Sigs had damaged tweets ($$$$$) as a result of dropping the box on its face.

I think Paradigm does an excellent job packing these things, but can't protect them from being dropped off the dock. wink.gif

my boxes where sealed at the factory.. no way they where opened and resealed.. the cardboard has inside big staples ( i have no idea how they do that ) and white string tape.. no way
someone could open and exchange speakers or some kind of hanky panky eh.. i want my speakers from the factory if im buying new.. just the way i got em..

cheers..

And it is the last thing a dealer will do. It would make it very hard to distinguish between open box and factor sealed new.

Nice setup. I have the XPA-3 and love it with the Paradigm studio's. I am getting my cc-690 tomorrow, it should fit nicely on my tv stand.
the cc 690 is massive seems smaller in the store vs getting it set up at home ..

im just letting the xpa warm up it was very frozen before i turn on the system..

cc 690 sounds very clear.. i really love the sound of the adp 590 surrounds too

the 100s are awesome wonder how much more awesome they will be in a few minutes with the xpa
