Hey guys, I need to find a paradigm in the NYC metro (hopefully LI) that would have the SIG-1.5R-30 v.3 in stock so I can listen to them. Anyone have any ideas? I cannot find a showroom that has them.
On my receiver setup what size speaker is the Paradigm Special Edition SE 1's (small or large)?
If you have a sub set them to small so the bass is redirected to the sub. Most automated calibration systems on receivers will set them to large, I still set them to small and cross them over at 80 Hz.
Anything wrong with this set up? I have my mini monitors in the cabinet they sound real good to me I guess they have a very good sound dispersion?? But even thou i want them on stands which i already have, my wife wont let me put them on the stands:mad: But any how let know what your guys think
set up
60" Samsung PN60E550
L & R Mini Monitors v1
C cc 370 V2
RL & RR ADP900[/IMG

IMO, those are way too low. Can you put them on top of the cabinet instead of inside?
Here's a closeup of the Studio 100 and Sub 12. Not sure where I should put that sub... I'll take a wider shot of the hometheater when I actually get the new TV.

That table is probably going to vibrate with or without the sub on it.

really you would have better sound, if the center was on top of the table and the speakers where on stand with the tweeters at ear level..

you need to do the sub crawl to find the spot for the sub..
i really love my 100s.. guess we can always get better speakers but for a poor man like myself there are pretty darn good..
enjoy..
I guess I'm poorer that you since I can look at the 100s and the 60s all I want, I just can't buy them
i had to use a few credit cards to get it done... i paid off the small one but the big bill is due in 3 weeks.. i just dont know how i will come up with the money yet..

This is why I think if you can truly afford (not on an unpaid credit card / into your safety fund, etc) $2600 speakers, $3500 or so isn't really much of a stretch. But I guess companies know people will stretch themselves too thin, so these are seen as different price points.

So Paradigm is playing the blame game in regards to receiving my Studio 100 in piano black with a crack on a corner.. Dropped the speaker off early last week and they still haven't mailed out a replacement saying the speaker was dropped...dealer will just buy/order another if they don't cover it...but I'm still waiting for the dealer to do this ...ugh.
Meanwhile anthem sent out a new replacement MRX 700 since the new one I bought was actually used with no hassle.
Feels like I'm missing a testicle. Drop 5 grand on something and a month later I only have one speaker and a tainted receiver whose remote decided to stop working. Maybe the exploded batteries in it contributed to this.
EDIT: just got a phone call from paradigm rep apologizing for everything and will get me a replacement...didn't mention when though.
The dealer I bought my Anthem preamp from said he would not recommend the MRX 700 - I was surprised; however, this dealer has been in business for a long time and I took their recommendation as a warning shot over the bow. My AVM-2 has been flawless for the last 9 years, but recently I have been looking elsewhere at products such as Emotiva, ATI and Outlaw because of the similar experiance you're going through. I was considering the Studio 100s with 690 center, but now am apprehensive about Paradigm as well. Good luck getting your situation resolved.

just curious what did your dealer want to sell you instead of the anthem mrx 700?

The balanced Outlaw amps are a VERY good choice if you don't mind the extra $. This is coming from an Emotiva fanboy. IIRC, the balanced Outlaws are made by ATI?
