Not bashing at all. You are aware that audio is a very subjective hobby? I have no skin in the game whatsoever, just trying to provide objective advice. I've heard both and gave an opinion. Now, if you were going to purchase speakers, neither of which could be auditioned, and one pair is 15 years old and used, the other new (with a 30 day return policy), wouldn't you respect all of the opinions you could get? Even unheard, I would provide similar guidance.
You little fanboys can scream all you like, but it won't make the world love your speakers, or stop people from helping others.
P.S. I think Paradigm Signature series sounds just fine, and if there weren't better options for less money they would probably be in my HT today. Now can I be in the club?
Edit: gasdag, thanks for the support. You might want to ask your question outside of the Paradigm forum itself. I'm just guessing, but you aren't likely to gain too many differing opinions.
Yours is NOT objective advice. It's your opinion. It has nothing to do with being a "Fanboy." Your objective is clear and simple - - to promote your opinion on your "Ascend" speakers and to denigrate the Paradigms.
Again - - you're entitled to your opinion and this is not a "club." 99% of people would not post like you did - - they'd be on the Ascend "Forum" and promoting, endorsing those speakers and sharing their "Ascend" experiences with others - - and trying to get the most out of their HT setup.
Did you listen to any other speakers besides Paradigm? Have you posted negatively on those forums? If you haven't, then your selective choice to post on the Paradigm site is quite telling.
If you don't like Paradigms, then fine. Be happy with what you have and find other happy Ascend buyers to share experiences.
