So far, I only see a pair at $1800 in "new condition" but not actually new. Just wondering what people think is a fair price before I continue spending my wife's hard-earned money :P
Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
Howdy y'all. New to this forum, not so much to audio. ;)
When we bought our new-to-us 11 year old house, I splurged and bought two new setups for us....one for my "office", the dining room re-purposed, and the living room. I did both as 2.1 setups---well, truthfully, the living room setup did have a CC-948 purchased for it, but all I've done with that speaker is unbox it, admire it, and repack it--never even hooked it up. It now sits in the junk room, the 3ed bedroom, unused.
My "office" setup:
Pair of Studio 20 v.5
A 10" sub of ill repute....
An old Panasonic CD player
Panasonic 42" plasma TV
The living room:
Pair of Studio 60 v.5
NAD T757 v.2
A 12" sub, again of ill repute
A Sony BR player
Panasonic 50" TV
The "office" setup has seen much more use than the living room and I must say, I love the way the setup sounds. The LR is excellent, too, but the wife and I spend most of our time in our respective "offices", hers is a computer/sewing room, mine is a conglomeration of audio, video, and computers.
Love the Paradigms....kinda wish I hadn't spent the $$ on the center channel speaker, tho. I honestly don't envision ever putting it to use. I know that's sad, but I'm pretty stuck into just stereo, being an old man and everything. I've done a 5.1 system before (had Mission speakers then) and I really don't miss it at all compared to my current 2.1 setups.
