NFL Network HD

Can someone tell me how I can receive or on what channel I can find the NFL Network in HD? I have D* and they are broadcasting 15 preseason games in HD this year, as well as their Game of the Week inseason. Do I access this thru a seperate channel?

ps: I know SD is broadcast on ch. 212 but I am just not sure how to get to the HD content.

Thanks

Its not a full time HD channel. if D* broadcasts the "Game of the Week" and preseason games in HD it will be on someplace between 90 and 99.

DirecTv, has, in the past, carried the NFL Game of The Week highlight show in HD in the 90s, where they carry all of their HD special events. Nothing definitive yet, but it is probably a safe assumption that DirecTv will carry these games in the 90s.

Cool. So it sounds like I can find these games where I usually go for Yankee games on YES-HD in the mid 90s. Thanks for the 411!

Assume nothing with D* right now. Believe me, I wish that wasn't the case.

If NFL Network doesn't yet require full time carriage of its HD channel for HD content to be available to D* and others.

I think Adelhpia or some other cable company carries it full time

Unless, of course, they carry them on some other channel

They've already stated that the HD Sunday Ticket channels are in the 700's, so my money's there, if DirecTV carries them at all.

Another possibility is that you'll need to subscribe to the Sunday Ticket and SuperFan packages to see them.

Any chance "E" will carry the NFL channel ?

The NFL channel is now on E*. What I was wondering, is there going to be anything on NFLHD? The channel just says Off air all the time. Does anyone know where to find a schedule to the HD channel?

Watch for the Game of the Week presentations on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. AFAIK, those are the only programs produced in HD by NFL Network at this time (aside from the pre-season games referenced earlier in this thread).

BTW, why do you ask the same exact question in multiple threads?

Verizon's FIOS TV should have it, but I know it will be awhile before it will be available in most areas. Hopefully I should be able to get it before the end of the year. I already have their FIOS internet service.

Nowhere to be found. For some reason, I'm not surprised. They didn't show the last HD preseason game either.

No Game of the Week on Comcast either.

I had the Game of the Week in HD on E*. It was the New Orleans/Carolina game. I was only able to watch a couple mintues of it since I had to go to work but the PQ looked really good.
Yeah and neither comcast or D* had the Pats/Oakland GOTW in HD on Saturday night, either.
well if the game of the week was New Orleans, and that game wasn't shot in HD, it makes sense that they wouldn't have the game of the week in HD.

Nfl films uses thier own cameras for these. It makes no difference if the network had the game in HD or not.

D* doesn't seem to be doing the "Game of the Week" in HD this year, at least not yet. :(

They have not shown GOTW the first week in HD EVER (3 YEARS for those keeping track). The gig is up, they can't blame it on NFL Network this time since we know Dish had it.

More silliness from the NFL's "exclusive" partner. Maybe they could take a few cents per sub from their Stupid Fan windfall and make sure they can at least show all possible NFL content in HD?

Are you talking about the game that took place last Thursday? That would be a new precedent for them if they showed it on this past Saturday. How can they know what the GOTW is until after all the games have been played?

I thought the PQ was pretty good for the GOTW last nigth on E*. I just wish they would show more in HD.

I highly doubt there's any "windfall" from that fiasco. With the added cost of producing the other SF features, on top of all of the ST cancellations and credit/bribes they've handed out to people just to keep subscribing, I'd be surprised if they aren't losing even more money this year than they have in previous years.

This is why d* and broadcasters can get away wiht bad pic quality of hd.

It was far from hd. it was however widescreen. there is a major difference
post #30 of 33
well if it wasnt it surely fooled me. my local fox usually screws everything up so I figured it had to be hd by the way it looked. maybe I was wrong. either way if it looks like that every week i will be happy.
