'Weeds' on SHO HD - Page 31

Anyone else think season 6 might be the last season or are weeds going to be renewed for a seven season? If season 6 is the last they should bring back Conrad and do a spin off with Andy.

Our daughter got us "hooked" by showing all the "Weeds" seasons/programs one or two shows each evening.

After the body-count in "Weeds" it's no surprize to us that Americans, especially US Government employees, are being killed in Mexico.

"Weeds" is more than entertainment, it's reality.

Elizabeth Perkins is leaving "Weeds": http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/...rter+-+News%29. Oh well, at least we still have Doug (Kevin Nealon) but still, not having Celia around is a huge blow to the show.
oh noes. Sorry to hear that. That's really not fun
It doesn't seem like she's being silly and leaving because of a payment request is not being met. Seems like a lot of the times, people leave a show because the company refuses to pay the star $1.5 million+ for each episode. ha.

No big loss, she's been an anchor for a while now.
Elizabeth Perkins is one of the last "fun" characters they have on the show. It will be a shame she will be leaving the show.

Interesting use of the word Anchor.
In the development/architecture world, an Anchor Tenant is a "Big box" store, such as Best Buy, Walmart, Sears, etc.
OK, never mind.

Richard Dreyfuss Joins Showtime's 'Weeds'
By Nellie Andreeva, Deadline.com's TV Editor - July 7th, 2010

Richard Dreyfuss has joined Showtime's Weeds as a recurring. In at least 4 episodes of the dark comedy's upcoming 6th season, he will play what the network describes as "an unexpected character from Nancy Botwin's past." Season 6 of Weeds, which premieres on August 16, features Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker) and family on the lam after Shane (Alexander Gould) bopped Mexican VIP Pilar to death with a croquet mallet. Dreyfuss joins previously announced guest stars for next season Linda Hamilton, Peter Stormare, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, as well as returning guest stars Alanis Morissette and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Oscar winner Dreyfuss made his full-time series debut with CBS' The Education of Max Bickford. On Showtime, he previously starred as Alexander Haig in the 2002 docudrama The Day Reagan Was Shot.

I'm having a 3rd annual TV Watching Party on Monday to celebrate the season opener. (Some of my friend's don't have Showtime.)

Friendly reminder.

In a few episodes there was a young free-spirit girl, perhaps not even 20 years old, that became Nancy's brother's girlfriend. But the girl's other boyfriend, a very bruttish type with a beat up old van, showed up complicating matters. When the girl and the boyfriend departed the old van stayed behind and Nancy's youngest son had his first driving experiences with that van.

My question is, what is the name of the actress that played the young free-spirit girl?

Just a reminder... new season starts tonight.

On a related note, I'm afraid it looks like dear Mary-Louise has gone under the knife fairly recently. Every picture I've seen of her recently has her eyes seemingly pinned WIDE OPEN! She no longer looks doe-eyed and adorable. Also, both eyes do not look the same. Maybe a little work on her lips as well.

Unfortunate.

^I still ****ing love her.

Speaking of which... This show hasn't lost a beat. **** still hitting the fan and it's still hi fing he lary us. L.O.F.L.

I loved last night's premier. The whole "What? you're looking at a murderer" thing was funny. Harsh how the kids couldn't pack up their things, that's totally unfair!
I would have disagreed with my mother and went into my room to grab my personal belongings. They have enough money to buy everything over again?

I liked Andy's 'girlfriend' I wonder if that story line will be wiped away now.

Wasnt a bad epsiode, but it was jsut a bridge epsiode IMO and didnt really get us going for this season yet. I think the Morrisette story line is done, she pretty much looked finished with Andy forever. Especially with Andy leaving with evveryone unless there is some strange twist thats the last well probably see from her.

'Big C' Delivers Showtime's Biggest Original Series Premiere In 8 Years; Biggest 'Weeds'
By Nellie Andreeva, Deadline.com's TV Editor - August 17th, 2010

Showtime just announced that The Big C premiere attracted 1.154 million viewers at 10:30 PM. That's the pay channel's largest audience in 8 years for an original series debut. Season opener seemed too soft, resolution-wise, here. Can't picture earlier season images exactly but don't think they were so fuzzy, especially the star. Maybe she got a 'fuzz-me' clause in her contract. Opening plot seemed too narrow, focusing only on escape minutia. -- John

First episode of the season always introduces the pieces necessary to fuel that season's plotline. You have to set things up for the madcap mayhem that will ensue. Looks like they might be spending this season on the run. This is 'Weeds', and nothing they do would surprise me at this point.

I just hope they can somehow work Kevin Nealon back into the plotline. He and Andy make a helluva team.

Interesting... I noticed EXACTLY the same thing, and made EXACTLY the same comments to myself.

There was a scene with Shane and Silas talking, with Shane in a white shirt and tie, and Silas in a blue shirt, and the unexpectedly bright and harsh lighting reflecting off of Shane's shirt almost made it look gauze-like (or with Vaseline on the lens... you know what I mean).

It was not sharp and crisp, but more "artistic and ethereal"... with a diffusion filter. AWFUL, is how I would describe it.

You're right... looked very odd, and different. As was proposed, it might have to do with M-LP's "don't make my aging appearance and cosmetic surgery too obvious" contract clause.

I think this first show was physically produced at the same time as last season's final episodes. I think all characters will look older and more mature as the next episode(s) unfold, and we see this year's new story line develop.

From publicity appearance pictures I've seen recently I think Shane (Kevin Kline's son) has matured even more than he appeared last night. Definitely no longer the little boy he started out as.
Yikes, I think Shane is going to be problem in the future. Good intentions/justification or not, that kid is way too cold blooded.

Great stuff once again. lol Shanes funny.

ha.

Good episode last night. How about Miss Hot's new haircut? I love it, she does look like an exotic dancer.

The whole fake ID thing was comical. lol.

These two episodes, there was not a lot of drug dealing and drug use. From the looks of next week's previews, I assume it's coming.

Needs more Andy & Doug as a team.

Loved the last episode, especially Andy saying Brachots (Hebrew blessings) as he was tossing the old IDs into the fire barrel. I agree about the the hair. Mary Louise looked damned hot.

Yep, got back to a little more "fun" than in the previous season. MLP said she did not like Season 5 in an interview posted in Hot off the Press forum, I guess we are in agreement there. Too bad it took a murder to get the show back on track.
