Although I havnt experienced the vol up/dn problem you have.
By the way, do you use any software or product to do the color adjustments?
Yep, some of the interface 'does' seem amateurish....thrown together in time to get it out the door?
Well, I didn't really want to turn on the PC every time I wanted to watch TV... I used to watch DVD's from the computer's output, and it got to be a pain. If I did anything, I'd buy the Sony DHG-HDD250 High-Definition Digital Video Recorder with ATSC tuner....as cheap as $600 for the 250 online.
If I can get to the Sceptre's optical output, I'll run it to my Receiver....otherwise I'll use the RCA outs and have Analog surround I guess. OR, use the Sony mentioned above, which has optical output.
BTW the speakers seem to have that typical 'Cheap TV buzz' sometimes....especially with the surrond options turned on.
I'm only using my eyes to adjust the color, but's obvious to me that it's presets are not natural, especially the facial tones. Yeah, lots of people like over saturated chroma....but I want it to look real. I wish there was some way to adjust the factory presents though. At least there is the USER preset.
