ok first of all crt tubes are IN expensive no it cannot do 1080P it can do I INSANE low price is the only insane thing!!! And FIANLY i have my 38'' crt tube for over 4 yrs of daily use!!!!!! and not 1 image burn in ...
you want quality? hit crt tube you want slimness? hit plasma /lcd you want a decent flat panel tv? hit a pioneer elite oh wait those are 7k up !!! only cons for crt tube are
* noting bigger then 38'' widescreen ( sed tv will fix this )
* bulky ( sed tv will fix this altho its not much issue)
*not 1080p(sed tv will fix this alto p vs i? hardly any diffrense )
* not hdmi/ or any newer high tech plug ins such as pc connectable(sed tv fixes it )
so as you see the only true reasons for verring away from a crt tube is to get bigger size tv and 1080 p which then releates to the new high end tv plugs ... so that leads out to bulky but thats not an issue.... you want best of both worlds? an sed tv hits in 08 eta and expect to pay over 8 gs maybe by '12 it will be stable...
but i still laugh that you said that a crt tube is insanly expensive when its the backwards thing lol.
