'Supernatural' on The CW HD (& syndicated on TNT HD) - Page 63

Don't forget the time when Dean thought that Sam was locked in the cage with Lucifer and Michael. He stopped hunting and got a family too--the same thing.

They at least semi-addressed the elephant in the room... the "wait, you did that too" aspect... though they kind of glossed over it.

Also... I can't be the only one who saw Garth's Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Bobby hat
and immediately thought... Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Object owned by deceased, strong emotional attachment... why can't Bobby come back for his hat like he did the flask?

Garth alternating between silliness AND believable seriousness worked for me... showing competence while also maintaining his innocent streak.

While it was an improvement, again this same plot device has been used several times in the past. At this point I'm totally fed up with Dean's attitude, it is out of character, annoying and is dragging the entire show down. Writers get a clue and move on.

They need to add that character as a perm. member. He was pretty funny last night.

Garth is OK in small doses, no way I'd want to see him every week.

+1 - Comic relief.

It appeared as though he was being groomed to permanently replace Bobby.

The series REALLY misses Sir Bobby, it isn't nearly as good without his ugly, nasty mug around....wink.gif

Bobby made things too easy for the writers, but added soul to the show. He seemed to have a vast library to pull whatever book was needed at a moments notice. The showed Samuel's library once and seemed to drop that plot point. For me without the requisite big bad for the season the show is lacking. They introduced the tablet as a way to end the show, perhaps they need to do it this season and call it a day - so far it seems like a bunch of filler episodes this season.

No argument here....wink.gif

I just caught up on the last 4 episodes....They mentioned Chuck as a prophet and Cas says he's dead, now that Kevin has "come off the bench"

Whatever happened to the archangel that was protecting Chuck? Shouldn't the archangel be protecting Kevin too?

And on a side note, I can't believe it's been 10 years since I registered on avsforum. Goodness.

Leviathans a/o disarray among the angels since Cas went "nuclear." Take your pick ...

They couldn't even animate the damn birds? This was a good episode but it could of been a great episode if they had the budget of earlier seasons.
I like the new turn for Cas.
The angel-shtick was old a long time ago.

An outcast/spy who decides he wants to be a hunter with Sam and Dean is much more interesting.
With his special skill set, he is a breath of fresh air for the show.

For what it's worth, when they talked about the kid hitting his head, they mentioned he "heard" birds chirping, not "saw" them. In fact, that would be consistant with the entire episode, where the only visible cartoon element in the real world were the holes (most of which were non-functioning when we saw them). Every other gag used a physical object that acted like a cartoon element (the heart, the anvil, the cake and candle, the "bang" flag, etc.).

So I wonder if they will wrap up Cas story this season or do we get yet another season of SN! smile.gif

I haven't heard if there will be another season.
This season's storyline would be a nice way to end it all (closing the gates of hell forever).
My guess is it all comes down to what the producers and actors want to do. The show still gets as good or better ratings than most of the current CW lineup and is likely not to be surpassed by anything they could replace it with.

Therefore, the CW will likely renew it as long as those involved with the show want to keep doing it.
Seem like they crammed a lot into tonight's episode. A couple of times I thought it was over and there was more. I'd like to know how Dean got the cell phone.
I can't wait to find out exactly what happened after Elizabeth screamed. It seems like there was quite a bit of action after Benny willingly put his head on the table and Martin lunged at him with the machete. What took place in the moments right after that? biggrin.gif

I still like this show. Even after eight seasons, it still can deliver.

Yeah, how is it that Kripke can do such a great job with this show, yet have a flop with Revolution?
Actually I disagree. I've been enjoying Revolution and becoming more unhappy with SPN since the idiots in charge can't get over their love affair with the boring Castiel and since his intro the quality has greatly declined and I find myself not watching more and more so Revolution is a breath of fresh air compared to SPN !

Revolution is doing great for NBC and ratings are solid. It may be a flop in your eyes, but not in millions of other americans.
I'm pretty tired of all the characters that are left now apart from Benny.

Sam and Dean are in the same place they were in the first season (and with the same type of stories) and Castiel just won't stay gone. I've lost count of how many times he's been dramatically vanquished only to reappear again. The show needs to finish him off once and for all. A dramatic exit can only be successful the first couple of times and by my reckoning once you explode in a shower of blood that's really a cue to exit stage left permanently.
I can buy werewolfs and vamps and any number of assorted creatures and demons but I refuse to watch any more of the post apocalyptic crap I don't care who creates it. From a personal standpoint I hope Revolution fails miserably when it returns. NBC has a habit of these long breaks and then the show just dries up and dies when it returns. There has been a glut of these crappy bleak future movies and shows for years now, I want to see a return to a more positive view of the future. I feel as is Hollywood and whomever is preparing the public for disaster and destruction, I want to believe in a better future.

Supernatural has been a fun ride, if it ends this season, fine, if not I will tune in again.
Although I have been a faithful fan of SN since the beginning, it has been obvious for a long time the showrunners have just been hitting REPLAY.

Benny is nowhere near as interesting as characters from the early years.
Cas is embarrassing and proof no one is really trying anymore.

The show really REALLY needs a breathe of fresh air or to end.wink.gif
post #1889 of 2057
Definitely one of the best eps in a long while. Hope they continue this story line of the legacies.
Yes it was one of the better one. In a way gave them nope, could be laying the work for another season. Last of the Demon knights? She could still come back....
