I dunno about that....
That's my guess... essentially they would become invulnerable. Good people would die and go to heaven still... good people who choose to stay and ultimately become vengeful spirits and then demons... they would be stuck.
Instead of killing demons, they would have to trap them... They can do this, of course, but they'd have to make different traps for different things and keep track of the traps. After a while, it might make them rethink things.
IF closing the gates to hell was a good thing, you'd think God would have done it himself... like he did intent to have Purgatory closed off.
A few things rattling around in my brain. In no particular order.
It was clearly stated that the angel tablet was in one of Satan's crypts. So, if Satan had it all that time, why didn't HE use it? He must have had possession of it to have put it there.
Does whoever closes the (Bill
) gates of hell get locked inside Hell in the process?
Does closing the gate also close that back door we found out about a few weeks back?
If demons can only be trapped and not killed and sent back to hell after the gated close, are we going to live in fear that the EPA will shut down the containment vessel?
Once they are closed, can the not be reopened? I am fearing that the next season will consist of Sam and Dean trying to reopen them after realizing what a bad idea it was.
Does the angel tablet have the instructions for closing the (pearly) gates of heaven? What would THAT do?
Bickersons (sp) are still around, but where are the Leviathan?
