Until next week, then a new monster lands with a new deal.

I didn't know this was going to happen, but according to the previews for next week, there will be a new show on Monday and another one on Friday, which according to the previews will be the new time slot for Bones. Friday's at 8:00pm ET.

I saw this too. Surprising, though. Does this mean Bones isn't doing well in the ratings? I wouldn't think Friday evening would be where you'd put your best show eek.gif

I think this week's episode is about as good as Bones gets... it felt rather old school. More comedy than drama which they don't do very well. Their move to Friday was planned before the season began. Ratings wise I read the marriage episode was pretty much even with the rest of the season which means the honeymoon must be over.

Been the plan since last Spring that Bones goes to Friday's once Almost Human starts up.

I don't know about the rest but I just don't care for comic book TV. This almost human thing is not comic book, that I no of, but I want everyone in a cop show to bleed.

Did anybody else notice (in this weeks episode) the picture/plaque on the wall dedicated to the squint that was killed by the sniper (a few episodes ago)? I thought it was a nice touch.

It's been there for a while...

I never watched the show until I binged it via Netflix (I presume). Afterwards I have been recording it and I must say I think you could super impose each episode onto the top of the previous ones and you wouldn't even notice. Every episode is so identical you can set your clock by each of the plot lines... such as the first trip to the interview room.

It just got renewed however I think they could run repeats for the next season and no one would know. :)

It certainly has become quite formulaic. I think the network execs enjoy keeping the show around just to watch Emily Deschanel say/do quirky/entertaining things every week. I have to admit, that is the sole element that makes me keep watching.

Similarly, I watched Jag for a long time purely just to watch scenes with Catherine Bell in them. tongue.gif

Many of us did that. smile.gif

I have to admit... I let 8 episodes of this pile up on the DVR this season... then binge watched them... and now I have 3 piled up again.

I like the show... but I don't look forward to watching it anymore.

I absolutely agree on both counts. I find Emily Deschanel's face fascinating.

Also, NCIS-LA has ridiculous plots, but is also has Daniela Ruah.

With you on that. The plots have the NCIS LA bunch working like anything but cops. I never miss Bones

I agree...what is it about her face?

I must be in the minority, because it doesn't do much for me

I think what it comes down to is all we just want is reality shows with show business hot chix, except they still look all done up and fabulous for shooting a TV show, just so we can follow them around all day and watch them interact in "situations". tongue.gif Maybe a true show comes along with a compelling plotline and writing, and we are there, too...it still better have a hot chick in it, though!

Not knocking anyone for watching a show because they like the way someone looks... but if I'm honest... it's easy to find pretty people on TV. It's harder to find pretty people that can act... and damn near impossible to find people (pretty or otherwise) on a show that is well written and constructed.

So... I find myself being drawn away from the shows that I only watch because I like the people... and towards the shows where I like the plot.
