I'm glad to report that my display is finally back up and running. The service rep came by last night and brought another customer's media receiver. We hooked it up, and sure enough, the display powered on and he was able to access the service menu. He then did a master reset which affected both the MR and the display. After doing this, we hooked my MR back up, and he was able to get into the service menu and do the reset again on both my MR and display. This solved the problems and got me back up and running. The only thing I had to do was reconfigure my picture and power settings since they had all reverted to the factory defaults.
Part of the problem we were having was that with my MR, he was unable to get the display to turn on and out of standby. Somehow, my MR and display were locked up and frozen. It took the action of using another customer's MR to get us past that hurdle. I did have a faulty board in the MR, but it was the digital tuner board and not the main board.
