Once I got a hold of someone who knew their stuff it was a short discussion, he checked the software version and in two minutes had a answer for me. They will let me know when the new microboards are at their site and then I will take a drive to visit with the control box so they can do a 15-minute job to update it.
Aggie76, thanks for posting this. My 4360 had EXACTLY the same problem: watching HD channels all of a sudden the screen would turn black and only audio remained. Nothing was visible, no channel info, TVguide, etc until I changed to a SD-channel. This would happen rather randomly, but I contributed it to the ambient temperature and internal temperature of the MR.
For about a month now, this behavior hasn't occurred a single time -not sure what happened. I haven't taken the MR out to get serviced, so if an software update occurred, in came in over the cable. Not sure if that is possible though.
So I wonder, did you have your MR serviced? How are the results?
One, seemingly unrelated problem that remains is that my TVguide won't update anymore. "No data available" it says. Had Comcast reset the cable card on their end, but to no avail.
