I did see where they list weights with and without an HDD, but I assumed that was an error.
The Dvico TViX HD M-5000U definately takes an internal Hard Drive. I can't remember where I saw it now, but I did see a (French?) website showing pics of the underside of the unit, showing the installation of a 3.5" drive.
Also, quoting from the Dvico blurb... "With two USB2.0 host ports, you can now attach additional
external USB hard drives to further extend the storage capacity
