With my new hddvd player and my hd cable fixed and up to par now. I am finally going to post my final settings. I use a combination of 3 calibration discs and my eye.
I DO NOT like the warm or even the nuetral settings on sets. they are over red IMO and do not represent proper flesh.
So if you want the most eye poping IMO "realistic colors available" white is truely white flesh is truely fles tone etc. give em a try if not well then thats cool too
All i know is that when poeple come to my house they love my set and so i post so maybe a few like the adjustments too.
Cable can be a little different for each person but in my experience its usually the color that might need to be turned down a bit. otherwise all settings are probably the same for you as me.
drc pallette-after many many hrs of playing with...using default custom3 for hd and custom 1 for sd tv
With these setting you will be amazed at the detail and clarity your eye can see.
The tones of color will amaze. For me setup isnt about what is called "calibrated"
It is about if you were standing in front of me and being shot with a video camera and shown on screen at the same time...do you look the same color wise on screen as you do in real life. warm and nuetral are far from this representation.
If you are a purist with i cannot watch a set that isnt 6500 then no need to apply,
but if your like me and want more pop and are wondering where that awesome picture is that made me buy this thing in the store becasue it blew away everything else on the floor then try these out. and let me know.
When you try these youll see that this set looks like a 55 inch tube set! REALLY! its that good.
For SD i also set color to 27 and brightness to 33 i use component for sd digital cable to obtain and maintain different settings
