Thanks for posting this dcowboy7. I'll know soon enough if the "jigger (LOL), jitter or stobe effect" is fixed because I've been seeing it for a very long time, across all stb's that I have/had.

And it just blows my mind that this thread has been so inactive since the 1.9.1 update. Guess I'm the only one in VHO 1.

1.9.1 Build 14.47 Bug Fixes
1. The buffer would be lost on the 7232 and you could not use trick play such as rewind or fast forward on Live TV after idle period
2. 7232 reboots and resets
3. Video jigger, jitter, or strobe effect (I’m not sure this is 100% fixed but it is close)
4. New color change to address: Consistency, Contrast, Brightness, and overall readability
5. Cast is shown at the first Info button press on Recordings (Plan is to possibly remove second button press for Full Info and just have it on the first button press)
6. Corrected different channel than the one punched in when using modes such as Subscribed
7. Search would sometimes show some other program in the final screen
8. Interactive Icon would freeze DVR and stop it from recording
9. Fixed pillar bars / loss of video on SD TV
10. Time line issue going back to zero when viewing a recording
11. Time line bar time stuck at end when viewing a recording
12. When viewing a recording. Skip and FF cause the recording to advance to the end and the options screen is presented. Caused by inserted commercials
13. 7232 & 7100 will become unresponsive to any key presses then eventually execute all the "stored up" key presses.
14. eSATA video playback anomalies such as pixilation and freezing that does not occur on the original live feed
15. Pause locks up when a scheduled program starts to record on the other tuner
16. When you press the Favorites button on the 2500-3, the current channel highlighted in the guide is not the one you are tuned to
17. DVR playback freezes (where trick plays don’t work unless you pause, and once you pause you’re stuck until soft off / on)
18. Progress indicator returns to zero on inserted commercials during recordings
19. Paused VOD + UI launch results in stuck scaled video

1.9.1 Build 14.47 New Features:
1. “Air Date” added to View Schedule
2. DVR xx% Full Internal - DVR xx% Full External added to non DVR (7100)
3. Added “Cast” in recordings program detail
4. “Cast” wraps on non-recorded programs eliminating “…”

10. Last button for DVR : Last button toggles between a live channel and a recording and so on. Like this one a lot. I can watch a recording. Type in a channel number and then hit Last and go back the recording.
11. Active notification for activity that would affect TV viewing and DVR recordings
12. Two simultaneous HD MRDVR streams from 7xxx DVRs
13. Clock Channel Display LED Brightness : High / Normal / Low
14. Ability to delete all Recent Deletes as well as the prior, individually
15. 7100 STB - Select a program to record and it will only show the DVR that can record without conflict. If there is a conflict then the program will set the reminder on the 7100
16. Auto Power Off will turn the box off after a user selectable time: Never, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours

18. Fast forward to the end of a recording will play so that the end of the program can be seen without being missed. Play or Skip will take the recording to end. This is back from IMG 1.8
19. Program Options screen will always present from a non DVR giving the choice to Keep or Delete the just viewed recording
20. DVR - Select a program to record and it will only record on the DVR that can record without conflict. If there is a conflict then the program will set the reminder on the DVR. So yes, this will look at your DVR’s and determine the one it can record on.
21. DVR – Export to the Cloud - Export Series Recordings list to a Verizon Server. This will allows importing of Series Recordings list to a replacement DVR. Import will show up when you get a new DVR
22. Program Information Screen on Recordings will indicate "Upcoming Shows" for the exact same program. "More Like This" may show as well on Movies.
23. IR remote - Response has been tweaked so that there is less need to point directly at the STB. Also button presses in general on the IMG are much more responsive.
24. Parental Controls. There is now a Control VOD Sharing and Control DVR Sharing. Both allow or hide remote content. This probably also ties into #2 below.
25. Reminder and Recording warning now appear 2 minutes prior to program start

2. From (0100010 on the Vz forum) Parental Controls - Advanced : there are now options for VOD and DVR sharing. After playing with them - it prevents parentally blocked content from appearing in either the VOD My Library or the (MR)DVR lists - very cool. If I order an R rated VOD movie in my bedroom, it no longer appears under My Library in my sons room, since his set top has parental controls blocking that rating (in 1.9 it would be in the list, but he couldn't watch it since he needed the PIN, now in 1.9.1 it doesn't even show in the list.)

I have not had a chance to fully test every new feature or confirm every bug fix on my 7232's and 7100. If anything is wrong, confirmed, or needs updating I will fix the list.

I haven't had any of the issues that will be fixed in the release, but some of the new features sound nice.

Streaming audio from the Pandora Widget still not fixed either. Not as bad, but still not completely fixed. There are things I do like about this latest release so I'm not complaining too much.

I remember when MTV played music. And they still do with three all music video channels (212 MTV U, 213 MTV Jams, 214 MTV Hits) playing videos that remind me why I don't miss music videos on MTV.

Many of the original VJ's from MTV are now DJ's on SiriusXM. Molly Quinn, Mark Goodman and... the blonde haired guy... forget his name.

Alan Hunter. And it's Martha Quinn. Nina Blackwood is also on Sirius XM(she sounds terrible, like she smokes several packs a day or something). The last VJ, J.J. Jackson, I haven't heard him on XM.

Sorry, Martha Quinn. I know we're getting off track here, but three DJ's from the 70's and 80's that I listened to on 93.3 WMMR when I lived in South Jersey: Michael Tearson, Earle Bailey and Pam Early(sp?) are also DJ's on my fav XM station and a lot of the reason why I'm a subscriber.

Coming from comcast that was one of my pet peeves. Have to try that out.

Does any one know if there is a setting for my other pet peeves:

1. When a recording end, it goes to a blue screen with info about what was just watched, while you hear audio from what ever is on. I'd just prefer it goes back to the channel, no blue screen.

2. When I am recording a sporting event (just the event, not the "series") I like to tack an extra hour onto the back end for overtime, etc. It seems you can only record with options a series. Once the program starts you can extend the current recording's time, but it seems you can't do that for a single recording, in advance. I sometimes set a series recording then delete it later if I know I won't be home (I don't do mobile apps, sadly).

You don't need to do Guide->Favorites. Just press the Favorites button and it will take you directly to the guide for your favorites.

For the above to work, you need to have Settings->Favorite Channels->Favorites Button set to Show Favorites Listings.

Which areas have received the 1.9.1 update so far and how can I find out when my area (metro NYC) will receive it? I recall that we were among the very last to receive 1.9 and even then it was delayed.

I prefer it the way it is. I usually record series w/ the option "save until I delete." Then, when I've finished watching a program, and it goes to that blue screen, I change it to "save until space is needed," which helps me keep track of what I haven't watched.

And, I know w/ 1.9 it shows watched programs in white text and unwatched in yellow text (or vice versa, can't remember). I'm just used to doing it the other way.

NY (VH07) is supposed to get it 5/22am or 5/23am.

NY is VHO5 (also VHO15 for upstate NY)...VHO7 is NJ

It's a two steps process. First schedule the recording. Then go to DVR Schedule, find the scheduled recording, click OK then you have the option to Modify Start and End Times.

Oh it is....then nevermind.

I think they said everyone will have it by end of july.

it's good news. Although since I recently signed a new two year contract for $110 a month for 35/35, Digital voice, and Ultimate TV, I don't think I'll be changing things anytime soon. Unless they wan to automtaically upgrade me. WHich would really be nice. Some days I could use greater than 43Mb/s download speeds, but not every day.

1) - I think way back it used to do that, but it was a pain & people complained about the multiple keytrokes just to have to go back in & delete the show you just watched, I'd rather it dumps out to a screen where you can instantly delete the recording after viewing, as it does now.

2) - You can "pad" extra time on any recording in advance- Simply go & select one of your upcomming scheduled recordings, & scroll to the option to extend .. I do it all the time.

If youre dvring 8:00 & 8:30 shows both on the same channel it wont let you pad the 8:00 & yes ive seen reasons posted why some peeps want to do this.

Got new guide. HATE HATE HATE it. IT is god aweful ugly. They need to bring back the old background color.

Not a fan either. A lot of people hated the previous colors when it changed a couple years ago though and they adapted. We will too.

The previous colors were fine with me. But many complained.

So Verizon changed it. Now many will complain. The new colors are fine with me.

If Verizon changes the colors again, many will complain. Someone will always complain no matter what change is made.

If you can actually read the guide, then who cares what the colors are? I mean, how much tiime do you spend in the guide. If I'm going to spend energy complaining, it will be over more substantial issues.

Its to dim the guide makes my tv looks like its 20 years old and my set is perfectly calibrated. Its ugly and hard on the eyes.

I am the biggest fan of fios i know. I have had it since the day it was released in my area the 8th person installed. I hate this guide.
