Reading these posts it looks like WABG does, but referring to the TitanTV guide for this area it looks like the local PBS stations are the only ones noted for broadcasting certain shows in HD. I know that all shows will not be HD, but even in prime-time the major shows are not listed as HD. I once did see a basketball game on WABG listed in the TitanTV guide with the HD notation but the information for the game said it was broadcast in 480i.
Welcome to the forum,
I'm across the river in Lincoln County, AR (between Pine Bluf and Monticello). WABG (RF 32, aka 6.x) and WMAO (rf 25, aka 23.x) would be your best choices. WXVT has a very minimal
(as in very low power, and tower height) DT operation and its SD only. I don't receive any of the Greenwood/Greenville stations consistantly save for a very weak WXVT analog (WABG-DT is channel 32, same as "local" NBC here, KARK-DT)
Most primetime shows except for "reality" and newsmagazines (ie, 20/20) are HD. Weekday shows in HD are Good Morning America
and The View
. Soaps on ABC are still SD. Network sports from ABC (now ESPN on ABC) are generally HD except for lower tier golf tourneys and figure skating, etc. The last fourth of NASCAR season (the chase races) will be carried by ABC starting in September. Syndicated sports (such as LFS SEC Football and Basketball) are still SD though, if WABG carries those.
WABG carries FOX in SD on its subchannel 6.2. KTVE-DT (27) might reach Cleveland, as well as KATV-DT(22) (ABC Little Rock) and KASN (39) (CW Pine Bluff/LR) depending on weather/tropo conditions since the later two have towers NW of Pine Bluff, AR
For OTA from your location, the Super Bowl in HD is going to be SOL, since KTHV (12), WREG (28), and WJTV (52) are too far away.
