Before you configure it go to labs.zap2it.com and sign up. (This is completely different from the regular sign-up for zap2it.)

One thing that can be confusing is that Zap2It has there own Schema format for the XML output called XTVD. Record_This is using the XMLTV format and thus the XMLTV application.

Thanks guys. Its all making sense now. For some reason I got the impression the code was at ZAP2IT. Signed up and got the latest code. Thanks!

Okay, I can almost get it working. Tried to schedule Dr. Phil and Surface. Surface shows in IRC and in slot 1 of capture panel. An edit to Surface brings up Dr. Phil info. The Physical 0s also look like a problem?

I think I understand what you are saying but haven't a clue as to what happened. The output looks normal, Dr. Phil got scheduled first in slot 0 and then Surface in slot 1. It even displays Dr. Phil in slot 0 when scanning for a slot for Surface.

It looks correct. But my eyes quickly focused on the fact the title, Dr. Phil, has a period in it. I don't think this should confuse RT, not sure MYHD should have a problem either, just an observation.

Yes, the physical channel looks to be a problem. I have to look at Zap2It's internal tables. You can either post your xml here or email me the zipped xml.

Allen,

I'm having the nPhyCh being set to 0 problem with build 1/22. This of course causes MyHD to invalidate the reservation.

Well that explains why nPhyCh is being set to zero. Is this coming from Zap2It like this?

Update:
Doesn't look like it. The information seems correct in the XML file (oneday.xml):

Does anyone that is using Record This allow hibernation???

I'm curious since the app I've been working on seems to schedule everything just fine and work fine too, as long as the PC isn't hibernating. If so, it doesn't wake up. My theory is that a simple schedule write to the registry is not setting the proper wake up calls in the bios. It would be helpful to me to confirm this using Record This, and possibly determine whether there are other gotchas that both Allen and I need to be concerned about.

I'm setting this up as OTA right now. I do have cable/QAM connected to the card though.

I'll wait for the next version as the physical 0 may have something to do with this?

I'll set a recording for 5:30 using record this and put my machine in standby.
hdtvincr, (what's your name?)

Since you don't have a thread for MyHDAuto I'll post a couple of problems that I have found here.

Problem 1
Not all EPG channels are listed in the EPG DT Channel dropdown box.
Details
It seems that the EPG DT Channels is a list of the channel id's at the beginning of the XML file. The EPG box lists them in the order they are encountered. The one that I am always missing the the FIRST "channel id" in the list.
Workaround
Manually added the mapping to the ch_maps.txt file.

Problem 2
The Filename is set to the Folder setting when exiting the Options dialog the first time.
Details
1) After deleting the ch_maps.txt and config.cfg file start MyHDAuto.exe.
2) In the Options dialog set Folder (Title) and Filename (Date & Time).
3) Browse and select the EPG File and map the channels.
4) Select X to close dialog. (There is no OK or Close button)
5) Select Options and open the dialog again.
6) Filename is now the same as Folder name.
Workaround
Set Filename back to Date & Time and close the dialog. Setting will stick this time.

Yes, I found the problem with channel 0 and will post a new RT a bit after I get home.

Didn't wake on my first try. Now IRC says 10:30 when I thought I was getting 5:30. Weirdness

Oh now I see, it scheduled both times!

I posted the right exe but the wrong ini. I updated the documentation as some have requested (NotSeen) but didn't post the right ini. I'm going to make one more release tonight with the right ini and tweak the output by adding the network (ABC,CBS....) to the channel name and an output line when a program is skipped because the start time has already passed. That release does that but I thought I'd better tell the user. Then I've got to look into other stuff.

Thanks for any input.

Allen,

A possible feature for an "unspecified" future release.

- The ability to specify a recording time block of some type.

Why?
I have it set up to record PBS Nova reruns. Typically one is shown in the early in the day and one in the evening. I would like the ability to tell Record_This to only schedule this show after 8:00pm and skip the one earlier in the day.

Perhaps a scheduling time block might work like this:
SchedulingTimeBlock 20:00 - 24:00

If a show is found to record and is within the scheduling time block then it gets added otherwise it gets skipped.

This may be a feature that no one else is interested in. I leave it to you to determine its priority (if any).

Or Fusion support!
Since we have two developers working on similar products perhaps we can get one developer to concentrate (at least initially) on Fusion support and the other on MyHD QAM.

If they are willing I suggest that:
- Allen concentrate on MyHD\\Fusion OTA support
- Tim concentrate on MyHD OTA\\QAM support

Allen\\Tim what do you think?

I am not sure if there is a major difference, and I am sure that each manufacturer implements it differently, but I would love my KWorld ATSC-110 to be able to be controlled by this as well...any thoughts?
