I think I paid $200 or less for the the 2 R1.1s and two S.5s. The S.5s are being used for 2-channel on my desk. They are great and I'm not going to have room for 7.1 at the moment.
Plus this is all contingent on if they sound good enough for the price I am getting all 3 WS-60s for. Pretty cheap.
I use to have a S.5 5.1 setup and I liked it. How would you compare the WS-60 and the Point.5 system?
I have a 5.1 set up with AS F2.2, C1 & B1 and a HSU STF2 10" sub. I am very satisfied with the sonic performance of this system. I have spent months to try out 6 to 7 different sub woofers ranging from SVS, Velodyne, Energy, Mirage, Athena & klipsch at similar price point and ended up with HSU which has the best fit to my system.
In terms of receiver, I have played with Pioneer Elite VSX 21 and Harman Kardon 254/2600. My view is that if you mostly watch movies, Elite 21 is the way to go. It provides tons of tweaking features and crisped sound for dynamic action films. However, if your preference is more to music, HK 254 or 2600 should not disappoint you. I ended up settled with HK2600 which gives me good home theater performance as well as exceptional music enjoyment. I guess I have addicted to the tube-like sonic signature of HK.
