Anyone else notice the sound fluctuaing more than usual last night between show and commercials and music tracks? My remote was in my hand the entire show.

I noticed that, too.

I did not notice. I did have the remote in my hand, but only since I was switching to different channels during the commercials. I want to see Natalie Boa Vista do some underwear modeling.
Not enough of your typical hondas in the show last night. Only one civic or so.

Well, she used to star on All My Children and I record that show on my dvr. Well, last year, sometime in the spring, she was in a episode of the show where she was getting out of bed. She had on pajama pants, but just as she is getting out of the bed you can see a sheer, pink thong come thru the top of the pajama pants. I was surprised to see this and you didn't even have to slow down the recording to see it. It was so obvious and nice to see in normal speed. Every time I see her on CSI: Miami I think of that thong shot.

Just curious if anyone else noticed the odd getup that Delco had on the entire show....white tennis shoes and a suit/sportcoat. Almost looked like he had on orthopedic shoes. Strange.

I noticed that too, odd looking.

It almost reminded me of an outfit that Steve Martin would've been seen in in the late 70's on SNL or in "The Jerk".....

That's more of a Florida style of dress, especially the white suit and pastel shirt. It's a very clean and fresh look. I liked it, except for the white tennis shoes. I would have worn either black loafers without the tassel or some nice leather slides.

Did anyone like when at the end of the show, a suspect was trying to run towards his plane and Horatio stands there at the step ladder used to board the plane with his head cocked towards the inside of the plane and he acknowledges the suspect without even seeing him. Man, that's why I love this show!

H is my hero. He can handle anything. I am waiting to see what H does about Nim when that annoying kid who plays his nephew appears. Speaking of the annoying kid, what happened to his mom this season? The first episode set everything up for it. I was expecting H to get back to his old ways of season 2 & 3 (nothing like dancing with the sister-in-law).

An ok episode last night. Seemed like a part 3 will be aired.
It was sorta funny how Wolf messed up with the blood sample.

So, what was the deal with the terrorist girl just taking off in her yatch at the close of the show? I kinda thought it was gonna explode.

Me too, they missed out on a great "H moment", H standing sideways with his head bent down, sunglasses in hand and then the boat blows up as he puts them on and walks away.

I thought it was the yacht of the guy who put up her bail---in fact, I thought it was the yacht put up for collateral...

The PQ on this show is spectacular here in San Diego. On my 32" LCD TV the Miami skyline scenes look like a postcard on my screen!!!!

Best episode I've seen in a long time.

Hey, at the end, when H is sitting there with the blonde one, and she's mulling over the photo of her and the ex-hubby, H comfiorts her. He's kinda the good shepard character I nocioted he did this same thing with a child once when the kid lost his father or something.

Oh, yeh, I also noticed that H didn't need/wear his shades the whole episode Maybe his eyes are less sensitive than they were

Best PQ of any show on TV, even LOST.

Did anyone see the opening from tonight's episode? I usually tune in to put my faith back in HDTV, but that just blew me away, even by this show's standards. This is probably the best picture quality I've seen in HD. I loved the contrast in the backgrounds, the amount of detail in the sand, etc. You could even see the texture of the jeans.
Anyone have screen captures?

Tonight's airing of CSI:Miami on CBC over Comcast in Chicago was one of the worst HD broadcasts I've ever seen. I do agree, that this show is one of the best looking HD shows and really shines on my 92" HD screen. However, something weird was going on tonight as the image appeared soft in several shots and would go in and out of focus throughout the show. I even saw this happen during a commercial break. The same thing happened yesterday during the NFL playoff game on CBS. I've never seen this happen on other HD channels...Needless to asy, I'm not looking forward to the Superbowl on CBS this year.

Frankly, I'm getting a bit tired of all the overblown colors ... CBS seems especially guilty of over cranking the saturation levels across the board.

PS: I especially enjoyed when the stuntman managed to flip in the air with all limbs still intact after stepping on the mine.

ha, I know right.
I liked the episode.
HD and DD 5.1 here in Tx.

Oh, the filters were working hard on last night's episode. Yellow sand with a two-tone sky? Oooohhhh. This show isn't about PQ, it's about fake colors, and oversaturated ones at that.

- The slow-fast-slow-fast-slow-fast-slow-fast-slow-fast-slow-fast-slow-BOOM! intro was a little too much. (I thought the intact stuntman was pretty funny, too.)
- Horatio standing unprotected within 10 feet of a triggered, unexploded mine? Yeah!!!
- Miami has a lot of dumb criminals. The killer leaves the murder weapon at the scene even though he wasn't wearing gloves?

I was more amazed that his flip-flops (AKA thongs) stayed intact and on his feet.

If you think you'll be stepping on a land mine anytime soon, ditch those clunky combat boots and slip into a comfortable pair of flip-flops, you'll be A-OK.

LOL ... I didn't even notice that ... my brain must have been overloaded from trying to process the Simpsonsesque color palette.

Simpsonesque!! That's hilarious!

Guess I'm not crazy after all, I saw weird blurring/focusing stuff going on here too (TWC DVR in DFW). I thought it was "special effects" at first, but it was just too much and didn't seem to be planned after a while.

Miami has some pretty dumb CSI's too. "Well, don't worry, even though she's a known con artist, I'll just go ahead and pay the settlement out of my pocket without a fight, to save the dept. Just give me a little overtime." I suspect the hot Cuban con artist will now be on Horatio's list though, maybe come back in a future episode and they'll get her.

Was I the only one who thought the world was going to stop when H ACTUALLY cracked a HUGE smile when Frank stepped off the land mine and said something to the effect of, "What a way to start the day".....

H smiled broadly.....but the world kept spinning
