can't read the make of the tv cus its too blurry but is that a Phillips or did you add that backlighting?

almost looks like its a samsung and you added the backlighting in blue.

Hey I just have a question about my set up and I'm asking here cause I've seeing a few people that are doing it. I wanted to add some back light on a 47' inch LCD but of course I want to do it the cheap way with rope light. What size would be good enough? 6 or 12 feet? I realize 6 isnt big enough but i was thinking since the rope light doesnt have light control so I thought I could get a smaller light d to a small cricle behide the tv so it wont be as bright. Suggestions?

i wired up a few cold cathodes at my bosses house on a 52" lcd.... cost about 30-40 bucks total for 4 12" tubes and a power supply.

I did I think 8 feet. It isn't too much but reaches all the way around the screen so you get an even distribution of light. If I were able to take a pic I'd show you but suffice it to say it's a pretty cool effect.

I used these. They are light so double sided tape works really well.
