MississippiMan is helping me find a mirror for my screen and, hopefully, will help talk me through the painting process. One thing I haven't really asked him or others about is "instructions" on building a black fabric "frame" to surround the mirror. I think the mirror / screen will be applied directly to my sheet rock wall (?), which means I'll need frame around that.

If the mirror is 1/8" thick, do I just get 4 pieces of 1x3 material, miter cut the joints, route a 1/8" rabbit out of the back of each piece, cover in black velveteen and attach to the wall around the screen after it is hung on the wall? Or is there a better way to do this?

Thanks.
