I don't know the diff.between the two types, but maybe one of the forum gurus will be happy to come in here to explain it all,but Yes, the DataLifePlus discs do have the AZO layer, and may be higher quality than other "regular" AZO discs..The DataLifePlus discs have always worked well for me.I've had damn few coasters(if any) using them. They're every bit as good as the TY-JVC discs.Maybe slightly better? I've had my share of coasters using the TY-JVC discs.I like the TY-JVC discs, but i don't think they're quite as good as some people claim they are.YMMV
On another note,i just went back to Amazon and they are still showing 2 spindles in stock.Kinda strange, cuz last night when i tried to order 4 spindles i was told there was only one left,so i ordered the one they said they still had.Today i ordered the two spindles they say they still have.
I guess the left hand doesn't always know what the right hand is doing at Amazon.
PS:Don't confuse the DataLifePlus discs with Verbatims "Life' series.I've read that the Life series aren't all that great, but i've never used any myself.Edited by greaser - Today at 11:55 am
