Anybody know of a good place I can buy accessories for RTi series speakers? Specifically, I need grilles for RTi8 and RTi4 speakers, and the outrigger bases for RTi8s as well. I already contacted Polk and got prices directly from them, but was wondering if there were any other less-expensive alternatives...or some place I could get them used.

THAT sounds like great service. I was corrected a few posts ago that Polk has no control over how 3rd parties ship their speakers. Thinking back it seems like the shipping problems I recall are from newegg. I've never had a single complaint about anything I've ordered from them, and the (few) reviews of A9's don't mention shipping problems. Maybe just a case of the few negative reviews standing out in my mind while the majority of unreported happy customers goes unnoticed.

I bought a pair or RTI-A3's that were supposed to be for a zone 2 but I accidentally "tested" them as surrounds in place of my bose surrounds. They stayed there and I bought a CSI-A6 that night...
I agree with everyone who has said to look at an A6 center, just be prepared to keep going...

I actually purchased my A7s from that company on Ebay. They're reliable. You shouldn't worry.

Make sure you visit Polk Audio's website to check the authorized etailers. There is a list of "unauthorized" etailers too. If your etailer isn't on the list, call Polk. Otherwise, you will not get your 5 year warranty.

They are NOT an authorized dealer but they have there own warranty for the speakers. They match Polks 5 year warranty.

Newegg often has the A9s on sale for $499. I've seen it 3 separate times now in the last 2 months. Great price, just keep watching their site. If the 1 I receive today is damaged I am going to see if they can send it a different way, other than UPS.

Thanks for all the inputs. Going to use fxi4s for the surrounds. Was wondering how folks mounted them or simply placed them on stands. I had my room pre-wired when building it for the rears but the terminals are high on the wall. Some considering mounting shelves to put the 4s on but wanted to solicit other ideas first.

Just mount them where you can and get cable guides to hide the wires. Look at my thread to see examples of what I did for mounting mine!

Ok guys, my new pair of RTi A9s "on cherry" (you got that right Geoff) are scheduled for delivery tomorrow (7/25). I will have to wait and see how these puppies were handled by our dear friends at UPS. eek.gif

Hopefully, they will arrive just fine as the black ones.........biggrin.gif

Thanks bro! I look at several pics available on the net, but all of them looks a tad different from each other. Hopefully, they will be really close to the cherry finish on the Ultras...............cool.gif

The A9s on black are up for sale now. CSi A6 will follow the same path, but first I need to buy one on cherry. Do you remember just few months ago when I was all excited about my new A9s? Well, same feeling now.........but this time the feeling is in "cherry color"..........tongue.gif

cr136124, you will love your A9s in cherry. Trust me, it's like another speaker. Also, the RTi A9 sounds better in cherry smile.gif

BTW, OneCall has one CSi A6 Cherry Open Box for $299 (Amazon). I bought mine Open Box form OneCall October 2009 for $345.

I bought mine from OneCall - open box, $299, Amazon - and it is a very good company. Mine came double boxed. I would not hesitate to buy anything from them. Probably the best seller I know of.

Thanks man. I'm really looking forward to taste the cherry flavor of my music/movies with the new speakers.…tongue.gif

And, also thanks for the tip on the OneCall speaker. Hopefully it will be still available when I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on that baby.

+1000

They are really cool speakers. I had a pair of A7s for few weeks and then I jumped to the A9s. If you have a chance to do that in the future, go for them!
anybody compare the 7's to the rti-10s ?
just curious how you mounted the A4s....do they have mounting points in the back on the enclosure?
Ok took the leap and beginning to building the system...got the cs A6 center and FXI A4s at an open box price.......now wondering if I should make the leap to the A9s over the A7s but concerned about enough power to drive them with the DENON AVR 1913.....pushing 90 watts a channel......any concensus......with matching either the A7s or A9s to the AVR 1913...........not going with a subwoofer for the moment.......is the extra $500 worth the jump to the A9s considering the receiver Im planning in using......or would it be better to put the $$ in the receiver and stay with the A7s for now.....
