Yes I have a Denon 1712. Good memory (or forum history). I ran Audyessy which had me turn up the sub PSW505 gain to 75% over the beginning 50% / 12 'o clock starting point.

I will do the sub crawl after putting back the furniture from the holiday rearrangement to accommodate the Christmas tree.

My posting to this thread has been sporadic due to being way too busy at work and spotty email notices of forum replies.

Thanks for all the help. Hope you get a new sub soon.

Yep, a new sub is in the works. I don't get any notices from this site. Dunno why, I've checked all the settings. My gain knob was at about 10 o'clock to get audyssey to get it to near zero.

It was a Csi5 center that got me to move up to the Rti line in the first place. At the time I had M70's
and had gone past two CS2's and was using a CS20 at the time. Once I added a Csi5 I realized

even a bit better then the Csi5.
So, is very noticeable the difference between cs2 and csia6 / csi5?

waiting on newegg to put these speakers back on sale and get them back in stock, specifically talking about new monitor series going on sale, or the monitor series ii coming in stock and being on sale. m70 been stuck at 199.99 since they got it back in stock, but m40s and cs2 out of stock. So put the new monitor 75t,45b, and 25c on a big sale already newegg! tongue.gif

Yes, there is a pronounced difference. The entire Rti line delivers noticeably CLEARER sound compared to the Monitors, punchier at the low end and crisper at the high end. Polk's eBay store recently had refurbished Csi5's for $210.

I would agree, I have the csia4 center and M60 fronts. the a4 is definitely clearer but the monitors are such an upgrade from what I had before that I am going to live with it for year or two. the rtia7 set I want is just too much $$$ when I have car trouble/wife in school/old house repair/etc..etc...

FWIW I have series 1 M50's as well as 40's and 60's to get rid of before we move.
Unfortunately I do not have boxes for the 50/60's but you can pick them up for cheap.

mission accomplished. I got the TV hung, so I could move the center up to ear level, and found placement for my now functioning linear tracking TT other than sitting on the sub. Got the walls prepped for paint, and will have the whole thing done very soon. Then I can properly EQ everything once and for all smile.gif)

placement placement placement.... my wife is actually allowing me to put stuff where I want it now. For the last week she kept moving my speakers around a bit trying to make everything look straight. So we did a sound image test where she wanted it, and where I wanted it. We agreed that now she can pick all the paint colors and art placement as long as I get my on axis speaker placement. victory! so sweet.

Just my luck. Was going to order an Emotiva XPA-2 this morning but they are out of stock. frown.gif Looks like I won't get that sale price and I don't see any B stock. Oh well.

Well crap. There went my plans. Since thay had no stock on the Emotiva I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a Rythmik FV15HP. I had ordered a XS30 but cancelled cause my son wanted to borrow some money to get his tranny fixed. Then this morning
he said he's just going to finance another car. Perfect timing now that I missed the shipping date on the XS30's and would have to wait til Feb. for the next shipment. So I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Rythmik. What a mess. Oh well, I'll still get to

Really looking forward to read your initial impressions on this sub. I think I mentioned before that this was one of the sub that I was planning on buying at first. But, the deals on the SVS Ultras were really hard to pass on.

Yeah, I was just trying to save some money going for the amp first while it was on sale. I'm sure I'll be tickled pink when I get the sub. Any of the subs costing over a grand are great subs.
Supposed to take 2-3 days for assembling the sub and another 4-5 days for shipping. The miserable wait begins.
Actually any of the subs $750 and up are in another league. I was planning on a XV-15 at the beginning but then got greedy.
SVS makes great subs.

Well, considering all the time that you have been running without a sub, 7 to 8 days doesn't sound that bad. Of course, I am at the other side of the fence and you want it like for "yesterday"....wink.gif

I'm pretty sure 449 is about the best you're going to get right now for the A9. Dunno about the other two. I usually just google the speaker and find the best price from an authorized dealer.
Amazon and newegg usually have the best price in my experience with newegg being first. I'm guessing you got a 40% off code in your e-mail from newegg.

449 is cheaper than the 40% off from newegg. That would be 480 at the egg so that's a good price. They are 500 each for refurbs at Polk ebay.

Saw that as well. Thanks man. We are working on converting our basement to an entertainment area and I wasn't really ready to buy yet but these all look like really good prices.

I've hot a csi3 as 4 rti4's in the living room and really like the polks.

Also the rti an rtia are supposed to be the same sonically correct? So would matching A towers with like a csi5 and rti4 or 6's be an issue with those also brin on sale?

I have my man cave in the basement. Loving it. Only bad thing is it has brick walls so I covered them with carpet. Helped quite a bit. Looks a lot better too.
