That 818 will drive those A9's til you can save up for an amp. The A9's aren't that inefficient. No need to get an amp right away. They'll just sing better with an amp and you'll be able to push them harder.

Well I know how hard the LSi series is gonna be to get here in the next couple months since the LSiC is already gone unless you know someone who knows someone who robbed someone smile.gif...

But seriously I am hoping to snag some 7's maybe before they disappear, although my RTA's should provide my fix for a bit....

If my tube amp handled 4 ohms I would be looking at 9's VERY hard, so its good it doesnt lol.... keeps me honest.

Yep, A9's all day long. After all it is your money. biggrin.gif No looking back after you get those. Either those or grab the refurb RTi12 from Polk ebay if you wanna save money. Everyone I've seen buy from them have said they are like new. I take it there is no Fry's in your area.

A7's or even A5's + good subs to make up the difference in the low end.

Let the floorstanders handle the high and a bit of the mids, let the sub take the mids down......

Just my thoughts, you have to live with the "What if's" if you dont get the A9's smile.gif. I dont......

Just upgraded my Monitor 70s to The RTI A9s. Will my CS2 series II center be sufficient or do I need to upgrade to the CSI A6. Received a 40 percent off Newegg coupon today. Very tempted but may have to hold off.

Sounds like a plan. Check at the Polk store at eBay and you might get lucky on scoring one. You can also use camelcamel.com to track prices and/or receive notifications when this speaker hits the price that you are willing to pay (works for Amazon and Newegg).

Yeah, the A6 would be the best one for the A9's. Since there's no shortness of supply and they go on sale fairly often you could always get by with the CS2 til your budget allows you to pull the trigger on one. We can only do what we can do. Who knows, maybe they'll drop down in price farther in the future.

Enders you are truly awesome! He sent me a message and thank you. He wants 1700 for it and I wonder if that's worth it for the LSi's, lsic and fxs. I can get all that minus the fx's and get the 7s instead for 1550 and most of it would have a 2yr warranty from polk ebay. Thoughts? Your awesome

I've been actively looking, but surround sound isn't very popular in my area. So, I'm pretty much hoping for newegg to get them back in stock and hopefully on sale.

Compared to new prices it looks like you'd almost be getting the fx's for free. IF I figured it right. Tough choice. I'm not real picky about the surrounds as some people are.

Ya there is no way I would pay what amazon is selling the fx's for lol. I wonder if anyone does. Quick question, the eBay auction on the LSi15s ends tomorrow. I'm assuming if they have inventory they would just start a new auction, right.

Yep. If they go back at the same price I dunno. They used to go for a grand a pair. Amazon sells them new for a grand a pair so I can only guess they would stay at $850. That would suck if they went back to a grand.

When I got mine I paid a grand off amazon cause Polk ebay had them at a grand also. It was a no brainer for me to buy new. If they were $850 at the time on ebay I would have sprung for those.

Well, it's official, both my amps; the XPA-2 and XPA-3 are now listed on CL for Seattle/Tacoma area. I hope some lucky recipient snags them up.

Oh yeah, my 50" plasma is also on CL, not sctatches, no wear, just good clean 600hz High Def viewing. Once again, I hope some lucky dog scores both my plasma and my amps.
