I do, I up convert all sources with at least a composite video. It is pretty cool to play Zelda in full HD with 5.1 DTS smile.gif I have not plugged in the Atari since I got this new TV, but maybe next day off I will see if it upconverts smoothly.

Since I'm old it would be better if I stayed behind and waited for the money. I wouldn't want to slow you guys down for the getaway. I'm good at counting money too.

Well my Polkie buddies, I pulled the trigger on the A9's just a minute ago. Fought tooth and nail not to, but I didnt want to end up saying "what if". On a side note, I need someone to put in my will for these, my wife is probably going to shoot me dead when I pull these out when our new house is built. haha I have always been told that forgiveness is easier to get than permission.biggrin.gif:D

Congrats! I can't wait until I can say the same thing about my big purchase. I am still waiting to hear back from the person selling me the LSiC so I can start my LSi series. If not, I will be going for the A9s like you.

So where are you going to hide those big boxes? Sure not going to fit in the trunk of your car. I would love to see the look on your spouses face. What a Kodak moment that will be. biggrin.gif

That guy must not visit the Polk site very often and check his pm's. The wait must suck.

If I remember, I will set up a camera and videotape it, then upload it sp we can all see it. That will be the WAF video of the year I can promise you that.biggrin.gif. BTW, I cant believe I am admitting this to everyone, but I have my Rti A3's, TC80is, Csi A4, Onkyo 818, and will have my A9's in my mom and stepdads poolhouse closet. wink.gif

The wait does suck, haha. Polk displays a user activity and it shows the last activity was at the same time he sent me a PM. Fingers crossed he just got busy and didnt find another buyer

How right you are my friend, you do know me indeed. I have bites already on my CL ads which means, the R-5 is a short order away. While I'm running my 5.0, the R-5 will be right at home. Once I relocate and have my 7.2 back up and running.......in comes the R-2, sha-BAM baby biggrin.gif

I faced the same problem in my new place and use a similar wall as you for my set up, it's just a bit wider by a few feet. Trying to center my 64" plasma was not ideal according to the studs. Remedy?? Center the tv using what studs I could and used the folding type metal wall anchors, the kind that fold, shove in the drywall and open up. Now utilizing two massive screws in studs and two folding type wall anchors. YMMV

Another idea is to mount a couple of 1x2 to 1x4 stringers (depending on weight) horizontally behind the TV with the board mounted to the studs and the TV mounted to the board. Paint the boards and you'll be the only one that knows they're there... I don't trust those molly-bolts for squat. Had a closet system pull half of my wall down once Mrs. Wolf got her wardrobe on it!

The key is to tell her a dollar amount that sounds believable but dont tell her the real amont smile.gif I think I am going to try that approach

You'd think he would at least let you know one way or the other. I've run across a few people like that on craigslist. Oh well, what can you do.

If this guy would have posted it a couple weeks earlier I would have bought it. Heck of a price for that sub. I could not have passed it up. Geoff? Looking for a sub?

So, when is the date that we'll have to say a prayer for your soul. I mean, what is the ETA of your speakers?

Jokes aside, congrats you made the right choice on going with the A9's no buyers remorse and no wondering in the future with this purchase. Time to start working on the CSi A6, yep it never ends!

It's not me. It's the other guys. They have absolutely no concern for another guys wallet. I don't understand it myself.

I saw that HK in the BB flyer last weekend. Did you happen to read any of the reviews before you jumped on it?

I bought this receiver based on brand, specs, reviews and forum comments, but I'm still speaker shopping so, unfortunately, it's still a virgin... I decided I wanted audio quality over infinite connectivity and for my needs and the sweet price on a HK I couldn't resist. I'm kind of on overload with the 'creeping featurism' battles of nearly every receiver in the $200-$400 price range. With 47 HDMI in/outs, pass this, upconvert that, blah blah blaaaaahhhhhhh ZZZzzzz... They get sketchy reviews primarily because they're too complicated. I'd rather get fewer, higher quality, RELIABLE, features and I believe I made a good choice. Unfortunately, this sale went off last Sunday. They're hard to find for under 4 bills now...
