There have been a few guys who acted interested in buying some of my gear. I get it ready to go - whether that's digging it out of the basement and dusting it off, or picking it up from the storage locker and hauling it home, then nothing. One was kind enough to PM me that the deal was off. Others just never showed up.

I really don't want strangers from CL parading thru our house and checking out what they might want to revisit and help themselves to in the middle of the night frown.gif ... My speakers will be going on Amazon and the vintage gear on eBay as soon as my kids move back out again and I can find room to turn around in our house.

I do that one day every week. And while it's nice to have some small supplemental income, I'm still hoping that between them and me we will eventually be able to find a replacement for me so my wife and I can finally move into our retirement condo.

I'm mainly doing it for my son since he took over my old position. Helping him out with some CNC lathe programming and operation. Fun for him but not for me. 40 something years of it was enough for me.

I apologize our deal fell through Rob. I still hold hopes to get some of your Monitors for my buddy but until his Klipsch Palladiums sell he doesn't want to buy anything. frown.gif.

That and I still hope to do some work on the side (so its extra cash my wife hasnt budgetted for) for that other item but at this point I am not holding my breath.....

P.S. is it bad I am typing this while my wife is on a monitor to see if its "go" time for our first kid..... smile.gif

Ender - you were the ONE guy who let me know the deal was off. I would have mentioned you by name but I generally don't like to do that. I was hoping maybe the other guys would pick up on the fact that people DO notice common courtesy, or the lack thereof. I hold nothing against you, and wish they were all more like you.

RobLee,

I apologize for not PMing you back about your speakers. My daughter's "sperm donnor" lol....bilogical dad finally decided to relinquish his parentals when he found out he was going to jail for not paying child support for 7 years. I'm currently going through the works with the adoption process, which by the way isn't cheap eek.gif My daughter has been wanting my last name for several years now, and she is finally getting her wish.

that's a good price.. I just sold a pair that I had for 300 .. they are very good if you don't have a sub..very good imageing clear highs. And good detail ..but for home theater you do need a sperate sub.. for ULF..

OK, thanks! Anything I should look for specifically? I saw some tweeter and bass amp issues checking them out and looking for replacement covers for these, which are missing. Any idea how to track some down? I could make some I guess!

Well, it appears that we had a slightly false alarm, shes in partial labor but not enough for them to do an emergency c-section.... Still might be happening this weekend...

Threw a very big wrench in my plans to pickup my speakers, but I think its been compensated for.......

My dad is driving back through Chicago on Sunday and it looks like he and the guy I bought em from will be able to meet up and take care of that for me...

Otherwise no idea when I will be able to get up there to pick the speakers up, but thankfully the seller said he would hold em for me regardless..... Gotta love fellow Polkies!

Hope your wife doesn't have too hard of a time with the labor and delivery Enders. Always more important than any speakers. It was always a nerve wracking time for me when it was time. Guess I was just a worry wart.

Well it gotta be a c-section regardless (due to back problems and other issues) so its more of when she meets the criteria for an emergency c-section since she's not at 39 weeks yet.

My grandaughter was born C-Section because the cord was wrapped around her head. It was an easy delivery. They have that c-section stuff down pat.
