Hey folks, not a Polk question, but we've gone pretty far afield on the subwoofer topic in the last month or two, so here it is:
First off, absolutely love the RT600's I scored on Craigslist about 3 weeks ago. Replaced my front two RM6750 satellites with them, and now greatly enjoying the superior imaging and soundstage. And volume. And everything else about them. Except how inadequate the 6752 center channel now sounds, so when the tax return comes I'll be getting a CSi5 or A6 to replace that as well.
Looking ahead to replacing the sub this summer sometime. There's been lots of sub recommendations here, but bottom line is I'm in a smallish room (abt 14x14) with neighbors upstairs and on one side, and am likely to be in similar living spaces for at least the next 4-5 years. I think the RW-12D or similarly powerful sub is too much speaker for my space. Looking for something quality that is not going to make the neighbors plot my slow and painful death. Anyone have any input on the RW-10D? Or the current 10" model Newegg has on sale, the Synergy Sub10? Or any other options out there that will improve significantly on the HTiB sub but not blow up my living room. Or... do I just buy the RW-12D and keep the lid on until I get someplace where I can open it up?
