I took the spaces out and come up with "page cannot be displayed". Dunno what I'm doing wrong.

The RTi8 will work quite well on an AVR with around 150 WPC. The closer to 250 you can get, the happier you will be. I've seen some Pioneers with 170W and 200W, but they were pricey.

Cool - so it sounds like I just need to figure out a receiver that best fits my gear. I was set on going with the Yamaha RX-V773-WA, but it only does 95w per channel... The Pioneer SC-1222-K does 120w per channel, so it looks like that is a much better option.

Have you thought about finding a receiver with pre-outs? Those rti8's sound better with more juice - pre-outs give you the option to add an external amp later. Using this for stereo listening or home theater? good price on a new pair direct from polk:

Those both have pre outs which is why he is looking at them.

Yes, I'll be getting a receiver with pre-outs. Just want to get something powerful enough to get good performance for a while without adding more expense to the project for an external amp.

Yeah - the eBay store is where I plan on getting the speakers. Great prices.

Primarily home theatre use.

hard to find avr's that could put out that kinda power with all channels driven. Personally I would get something dirt cheap like a refurb onkyo 709 or 809 from accessories4less.com and add a competent amp to it...something like an emo xpa-5 or xpa-2..can get either for well under a grand..

Yeah i think i will be fine with one pair .. beside my wife wont want me having to build a nuclear planet in the back yard to power it all like Carlos .. lol

After a while i will replace my monitor 35's with A3's .. i already have the Sanus speaker stands for them so what the heck .. might as well use them..

A few have told me to jump up to the RTi line versus the TSi because the difference is substantial. Would you agree?

Yes I would, as some others here already have.

Yes. Excellent setup, however, Future Shop is not on the Polk Audio "AUTHORIZED ONLINE RETAILERS" list. You may not have a warranty if you buy from them. I would call Polk Audio and talk to them first.
