Cherry is very different on each of the lines. I have not seen Polk specify which species they use for each.

Nice set up indeed! Curious, do you change the phase setting on the sub behind the couch? I have never played with the phase settings, but when I do get my nice sub in a few months I was thinking about experimenting around with my current 505's, perhaps a near field placement behind the couch similar to yours.

"You have traveled far pilgrim. You have so much hair when so many are after it".

That line is from one of my favorite movies, Jeremiah Johnson.

I think it was the guy who had bear claws on a necklace...

Hey guys!

This is my first time posting here. I've been following this thread ever since I got my 65ts a couple of weeks ago.

Now I'm hunting for a center channel. Baby steps smile.gif

I'm leaning towards the 25c mainly because it is the series match for the 65t. I think I rather cough up some extra dollars on it instead of the 15c.

However, its dimensions are somewhat of a problem. The other solution is the CS2. Also big, though, but its height is over an inch shorter than the 25c. Both are too big for my tv stand, but the wife has been warned and didn't think it was such a big deal. Hopefully she'll keep that opinion once it's all set-up. biggrin.gif

I can get the CS2 for $120 on the Polk Direct Ebay store or wait until the 25c goes on a better sale on Newegg (right now it's $220, but I've seen it go down to as low as $130).

So that's all. Thanks for you help and I'm excited to keep posting here smile.gif

I'm using a CS1 with my monitor 60s. I sit about 12 feet away and it works well. I did bump up the level of the center a couple of dbs.

Go with the CS2 or 25C. Always go with the bigger center. IMO. And I think most will agree.
