3 TVs. I think they quoted over $400 to upgrade. Gotta double check with the wife, she spoke with them last.

Love my 922K from dish. Love love, sling!
Wtf ? Try again and tell them you want cancel.. they will transfer you to the loyalty department.. those will be the people that help you out.. the first rung of goons you talk to are the cream of the crop high school drop outs...
I had the 922.. I too loved it.. the hopper with sling is much better.. bigger HDD. Faster processor.. Bluetooth .. Pandora.. and you can load your recording onto an iPad to watch them without an internet connection.. like camping or on a plane.. plus the tv anywhere feature
post #21275 of 35040
Fresh, I will try again for the upgrade, should have time to call them this week. I let you know how it turns out.

So I placed my order Friday night and received the below confirmation:
Polk Audio
Order Number: 356
Detailed Invoice: http://friendsandfamily.polkaudio.com/account_history_info.php?order_id=356
Date Ordered: Friday 16 August, 2013

Products
2 x RTiA9 Cherry (747192118464) = $749.96
1 x CSiA6 Cherry (747192118501) = $199.98

I checked the credit card today and nothing has charged yet. I tried calling Polk at about 8:30 est. And they said for the weekend Friends and Family to call tommorow between 9 and 5. I know that the credit card might reject that amount since its out of the ordinary but do you think they will honor the order? Should I call or keep checking to see if the order comes through on the card. I am sure they will be slammed with calls but I don't know if I am worrying for nothing or not. It will not let me log into the normal Polk site with my email and password so I cannot check it that way. Any thoughts?

I called them today to check on my 3 orders. They told me they didn't expect the high number of orders received over the weekend. But, that they were making a lot of progress today on processing all the orders. It might take a couple of days to get everything processed in their systems, credit cards will not be charged until they have the products ready to be shipped.

Only two of my three orders were charged just few minutes ago to my credit card "pending status" at this moment. Actually, the person that validated the status of my orders was able to switch a pair of F/Xi A6 from black to white for me (these guys are the best!). Bottom line, if you have an order number then you are safe. Just wait a bit longer and you should see your credit card charged in the next day or two.

Congrats on your purchase and looking forward to see some pics and to read on your initial impressions on these speakers.

From what I have read they got 1500 orders on Saturday alone so its totally possible its in their system but simply hasn't charged yet because of the overload. If you do anything I would call your CC company and inform them about the order so they will let it through.

I would give it a day or two before calling, you have a confirmation from Polk so I would assume they will honor the order from submission to delivery including any issues that arise. There is already another member here with a similar issue and I am sure there are MANY more.

If you want to know your actual order number call this number 1-800-377-POLK (7655) for customer service give your last name and they will give you the actual order number, my order under process will take few days because they are overwhelm with the orders.

Wow 1500 is a lot. I initaly hesitated because I was originally looking at paradigm monitor 11's but though the offer was to good to pass up. I even drove to Fry's that night to see if they had them in person but they only had RTiA7's. I came home read as much as I could find on them and decided I better pull the plug before they decided to pull the plug. I would have ordered the surrounds to replace some Paradigm dipoles I have in white but I did not want the black color on the walls. I'll check the card and if I do not see anything by Wednesday I may call Thursday. Oh and I have my order number of 356.
Yes, they are working hard to process all orders in time. I called this morning and they were able to fix the problems I had with two of my four orders and even one (LSiM 703) was already shipped. I got from CS the Fedex tracking number and it's in transit for delivery on Wednesday. The other three orders should be shipped out during the week. I still waiting for one charge on my credit card.

It'll be nice when all you guys get your new stuff so we can see the photos. Looking forward to it.

I may give them a call tommorw after lunch then if I do not see anything yet just to make sure it fine and to get any tracking numbers myself.

I am replacing 20 year I old Altec Lansing towers that still look like new but I bet these will sound a lot different.

Well, I’m now (almost) a member of the Polk family. I spent the past month trying to convince my wife about the following setup: RTiA9’s, CSiA6, and F/XiA6’s. Finally got the okay this weekend, since I saw a sale on the website for 15% off. Tried to order yesterday, and the RTiA9’s were all sold out. Just so happened to check this forum post and saw the whole Friends & Family sale going on. I was blown away by the 50% off…had to plead my wife for the okay to “upgrade” my originally planned speakers to the LSiM series. I told her this might be a once in a lifetime (or at least a great while) opportunity.

Needless to say, I was a bit nervous/excited about placing my order. But I did do it, and now I (hopefully) have the following coming my way: LSiM705’s, LSiM706c, and LSiM702F/X.

The only bad thing is, I blew my Sub, Receiver / Pre-Pro & Amp budget. Can anyone recommend a Receiver / Pre-Pro & Amp for under $1,000? At least until next year when I hope to get a good amp. I was thinking of the Yamaha RX-A830, and then next year use that as my Pre-Pro and get an amp next year. Would that work?

Anyway, I can’t wait to check these things out! Glad to be a part of the family. smile.gif

Maybe he lives in a cardboard box with an extension cord running to it. He'd probably have to get the box and the cord wet first.

That's so cool, check out the Star Wars movies, every time Darth Vader does his dark side force, your subs light up like a thunder house.

Darn nice setup. You can still get a sub and AVR that will run fine with those babies. I got my JBL ES250P 400W 12" subwoofer on Amazon for $199. I'm sure you can find a really nice AVR with enough juice to power all of those for under $800.

What size room are you using everything in? and of course .. Pictures of the shiny things will be liked around here..

Thought I'd share the information I got when I called them today about my order (a pair of A9's). Apparently they are slammed with orders, over 2000 from this weekend. They do not operate on the weekends so it will take them "a few days" to process all the orders. Also for anyone that created an account on their sale website and can no longer access it, it is because they have shut that site down (they cant have everyone having access to it all the time), and the accounts are not transferred to their regular site. I was told that my order is good an I should receive an email with all the order and tracking info soon. Hope this helps anyone who is still wondering about the status of their order.
