well, for now im just rocking the center channel...
csi-a6. omg this **** alone sounds amazing, I can't even imagine how it will sound when both the A7's are running.

ps. I had everything shipped to my parents house in NY, I didn't want to have it delivered to my job and have people thinking I don't need a raise, and I wouldn't be home to accept delivery. Well, I was only able to fit 1 A7 and the A6 in my genesis, (back seats don't fold down). so no Saturday my parents are coming down with my second a7, i already have everything setup, once it gets here i just have to plug it in smile.gif

Now I'm watching Iron man 3 on my ps3,,, I have to figure out how to fix the out-of-sync with the audio and video now.

ps. i wanna thank everyone for convincing me to go up to the a6 and a7's

It's slow going. We had to put our dog to sleep Monday. (Some will remember I did the same with our other dog 2 months ago) He was unable to get up on his own. For 4 days I lifted him ea time he went out. He was a big boy, 120+ lbs. in doing so I reruptured my hernia. I'm still finishing my theater just not moving as fast.mad.gif The wife wants me to wait to finish and get it fixed. Ya right! I'm this close and I'm not putting it on hold for a few wks. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

How the hell do I get that sucker out of the speaker???
Would I unscrew the driver or the back or the port somehow and tilt it till it falls out?? is that possible??
Has this ever happened to anyone else on here? lol

im still tempted to turn it on to see how it sounds, ughhhhh maybe i'll disconnect the tower and just run off a center channel for now..

thinking to myself :: man this some ********::

biggrin.gif Now I feel better about life. biggrin.gif The exact same thing happened to me with my RTiA9. I had to pull the bottom 7" driver out to get to it. I spent an hour trying to get it out! Once you take one of the bottom drivers out, you can reach in with your arm and get it. It is the only way I'm afraid. rolleyes.gif

Just remember to lay the speaker on its back when performing this surgery. The drivers are very heavy and will chip the MDF cutout edges they are in if you aren't careful.

When you loosen all of the screws, roll the speaker onto its side carefully while holding the edges of the driver face. It will probably not come out readily and will require some gentle prying with a wooden chopstick or skewer in the screw holes.

Hi I'm a long time lurker with a tight budget (ie 3 kids, married, mortgage lol).

I started out with a tl250 5.0 pack and my rather old generic "audiosphere?" 8" 100w Brand sub I bought in 1997 as a teenager to seek revenge on my parents from my room.

System now consists of a Sony DN 1020, kdl60ex720, cis a6 and the 4 satellites from the tl250 kit a the surrounds. For piiz i have a couple older generic indoor outdoor variety radio scrap speakers about 4 ft above the fronts.

eventually I'll get something a bit better suited to the a6 but with the current setup its plenty for my living room of 9x18x9 and i can finally hear dialogue! We watched "The House On Poppy Hill" last night and were blown away by the difference.

That's great to hear you are enjoying your set up. The CSiA6 is a pretty awesome speaker!

YW, and congrats on stepping up to the Rti's. It was when I upgraded to the Rti center (Csi5) from a CS20 that convinced me to just upgrade everything, from the M70's on down to the M40 rear surrounds. There was just no comparrison between the Monitor/Tsi's and the Rti's. When you get your A7's setup just remember don't judge them until they've broken in for a few weeks. You'll be very pleased for sure. You might post in the appropriate forum for your AVR regarding the sync issue.

Whaaaat? I just sold my RTiA series and got all Monitors. Got rid of my amps and got an Onkyo TX-SR313 and I'm in hog heaven, I'm living the dream biggrin.gif

Hey fellas,

Working on wiring my Monitors in. Question, do they need to be broken in? If yes what is the protocol? I've read yes and no. So I'm confused.

Just play them as you normally do and let your ears be the judge.

Whaaaaaat? You mean you don't have a timbre matched front stage??????????? Your system sounds like crap and always will until........

You must spend thousands of $$$ to bring your system up to speed or you'll never enjoy it biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

I think it's s decent as it is because the tl250 has pretty a pretty good tweeter but I could be wrong. Can't wait till it's broken in :-) only about 9 hours of movies/music on the new center.

I just checked out the TL250 set up. I had a similar satellite system (similar specs). It was my first speaker package just four years ago. I can tell you that I really enjoyed it.

No doubt the TL set up puts out some pretty decent sound, and the fact that you've implemented the CSiA6 into it gave that little satellite system a huge shot in the arm. That was a pretty bold and wise move IMO. It's highly unorthodox, but that is where I live my friend.

Another cool thing to consider, over time of course, is the potential addition of a pair of RTiA3's. That would for sure give you a solid lock in on a killer front stage.

I know you're digging what you've got for now and that's awesome. Down the road aways, when the hair is standing up on the back of your neck and you're feeling like doing something, I don't know, CRAZY, take a little peek at the A3's. And, quite often, you'll find them at a killer price for a pair of refurbs on the Polk ebay site.

Like you, I'm a budget limited buyer, refurbs are more than in my vocabulary, they're in my set up:cool:

Anyway, how'bout posting some pics of your set up?

Catch you around.
Tomorrow after I get the Barbies and blankets or of the room I'll take a couple shots :-) If I didn't have to eat if definitely have the a3 up front. When I get bored with this it is on my list of wants.

Monitors are a great expmale of NOT getting what you pay for (if purchased on a sale).

I completely agree, the M70's for one, are a speaker that responds well to set up and application.
My Monitors cost me
75T $199.99 ea x4
25C $149.99
35B $99.99 pr x2
DIY Dayton subs $199.80 x2

9.2 speakers for $1549.53

I think that's a HECK of a deal! It took about 4 months to get everything on sale but its going to be worth it IMO. I know they aren't the top of the line but they are very very good speakers. Just hope they are better than my Bose. eek.gif
