One of these days I will have to take some shots of my setup. Built 3 years ago and still running like a champ. Only 1 case fan has gone out and it was one of the cheapy's....

Asus P5E, Intel Q9650 Quad Core CPU overclocked to 4 Ghz, 8 gig of DDR2 1066, 2 640 gig HDD's (basically one is a backup for the main OS drive), 1 TB Samsung Spinpoint for Pics and Music ONLY. Antec P182 covered in noise dampening material, 4 Noctua 120mm fans on a fan controller, Noctua heatsink, Corsair 430 watt PSU, Asus 5450 GPU.

You've got what appears to be some plaques or glass thingies with stuff in them. That's what I was interested in. Looks like some Marine Corp stuff I'm guessing.

All, I had a quick question on running different models of Polks together.

I have RTi8's as my fronts and a CS20. Is this a bad combo? Will I notice a difference?

Thanks!

Ideally you want your main Left and Right speakers to be timbered matched with your Center Channel. This means a) 3 identical speakers across the front stage or b) the left and right speakers and center speaker be from the same model series. In your case you have RTi and TSi mixed. It may sound fine to you and if you are okay with how it sounds don't worry 'bout it. However if you choose to upgrade your center to the matching RTi series center speaker (CSi3 or CSi5) you will likely notice a marked improvement.

Thanks, that's perfect!

Hi guys, I've been looking everywhere for a tsi CS20 center channel speaker as the reviews for it have been great. I finally recieved a used one but its super banged up! (sounds great tho.) I am regretfully sending it back. Is there somewhere I can find it new? Are there any other centers that are comparable to it? I live in a 1400sq ft open loft with my HT system located in one of the corners and this center sounds great in the space that I am dealing with.

What else are you running it with? Polk eBay has a cs10 but no cs20.
Well....its a hodge podge of a system I inherited. Its Bose 301 speakers for the front l and r, Bose 201 speakers for the rear, a terrible, terrible jbl center channel I really want to replace with the cs20, and two klipsch synergy speakers as the surround. All through a Onkyo TX-NR616 receiver.

I'm planning on replacing the front bose speakers with some Polk TSi Floorstanding speakers eventually.

Suggestion if you can afford it. Get a center to match these and then get floor standers. Not sure how long those RTi8's will last though. They are better speakers at a great price for the pair.

Don't know if this would work for you but Newegg has the 25C Black for $129.95 new with free shipping and a $30.00 gift card and if you spend $250.00 within the next 24 hours they have a code on their site for another $25.00 off?

He said the "B" word. Not me!

That is a good deal! I might look into that. Which center is the one that matches those? CSi3 is it? Thanks for the info.

Seems like a good deal too. Although I'm not familiar with that center. how does it stack up against the c20 and c2? Thanks.

This would be the best one if you can swing it:

The CSi3 would be the next one down in that line.

Hey duprey, welcome to the 'ol thread!!! First of all, we don't day Bose, it just makes the enamel fly off the teeth biggrin.gif

Some great recommendations here for your center. As you're looking for the CS20, Polk ebay has a hand full of CS2's for a really great price however, I'd recommend the CSiA4 http://www.ebay.com/itm/CSiA4-BLACK-Center-Channel-Speaker-Polk-Audio-/390691131236?pt=Speakers_Subwoofers&hash=item5af7018f64
