There wasn't a sound room just a bit of a pedestal to raise up and make one feel a little smaller.

No need for those. They were Spectacular .I was already into  HI-FI and imaging , reproduction ; reading the Mags...I loved Music.

They might as well been a Ferrari included in the price as I could not afford being so young and working in a Machine Shop.

I never forgot the sound and of course the sight of those jewels.

Machine shop huh? My condolences.  I'm a retired machinist/ CNC machine programmer. I don't miss it. I do go in once in awhile to do some programming.

LOL.

Just one beer, not two..in Stereo.

I can only drink with the hat on and 2 drinks at a time.

Only fair for the left and right part of the brain.

Everything is in Stereo.

-btw. The Avatar is someone else`s.

I`m not computer literate enough to submit my own avatar.

Maybe because I listen to loud music..

Well, in all fairness, that was an inside joke. A few of these yayhoos will give me some brutal crap sometimes because they know I can take it. Sometimes they can be pretty doggone funny.....I can't tell you how much coffee and beer I've spit on my monitor laughing at these knotheads biggrin.gif And when I read your remark, I laughed out loud and was literally opening up a beer............now that being said, don't anyone give me any crap for awhile biggrin.gif

Hi.

My old man raised me with an iron fist..old european.

He owned Almac Machine Works in Edmonton.

I HAD to cleanup everything, all the Shop for 10 years. I started to have to work for him when I just turned 13. No pay. It was like chores.

On occasion years later , I`d be able to do some simple Machining. Especially when there were 200-500 pieces to do.

Almost 10 years later , I was told to go on a vacation for 3 weeks...WTF!!!!!.

After I came back to work, I discovered that he sold out and moved to B.C.

The new owners did NOT want an ESIK working there anymore.

I was Dumbfounded .

I haven`t spoken to him for almost 9 years now.

He is a Narcissast in the worst way and doesnt give a **** about his grandchildren.

I am now a top notch Machinist in Edmonton and am known well for my work ethic and talent. I am not a braggort in anyway but this is the truth.

The Story is known in Machining circles.

I am a Manual Machinist and I am NO CNC Machinit.

I have to be active and hand on.

I`m not ignorant because I spent 6 months a crossbow Machine training to be a CNC``operator``  and almost fell asleep.

CNC to me is NOT Machining.

Like putting Chuck Yeager on Auto pilot and telling him he flew well!

Mike

I know where you're coming from. I'm a journeyman machinist and have worked mainly in job shops. I was mainly manual machines and ran all the conventional machines. Some were very large. Then I got old. I'd rather push buttons now. I'll let the young guys turn the handles.

Well I can see this forum is moving along quite briskly discussing various and assorted topics. Mostly Stanley's fondness for drinking beer while on the crapper. Wait, is that the current topic?? Anyway business as usual, nothing to see here!

Reminds me of the time I heard a knock at the door and I looked through the peep hole. My brother was a Seattle cop and all I saw was the uniform.

Well sorry to hear that, good luck. Seems as if he's stashed the stash in a very inconspicuous area.

I sent him a text. No answer yet. He's probably hitting it now with the music up too loud to hear his phone.

I wish I could get on the green train. :-( I'd get discharged for that but it's ok for the doctor to prescribe me oxy, zopiclone, cymbalta, pantaloc, gabapentin and diclofenac. Can't wait for my medical release at this point.
