IAG/Wharfedale of America's behavior (that of their employees and Wharfedale in general) has been extremely odd, disturbing and irresponsible to current (under warranty) Wharfedale gear owners.
For over a year now, they have been disorganized, sloppy, vague, unresponsive, elusive and completely cluless.
Stella Chang is allegedly running the American division of IAG/Wharfedale. But this person is completely unresponsive. You can't get any answers to simple direct questions from their people who answer the phones and any attempts to contact Stella Chang are ignored and dismissed, by Stella. No one knows anything and Stella is MIA......every day.
I can't even count how many times I've been told that she's on vacation, this year.
Vacation from what?
Wharfedale's distribution is a complete trainwreck. Their dealership is almost nonexistent. No one at their offices knows a damn thing about Wharfedale's past, current or future products. Their so-called 'Tech" guy in California doesn't know squat about the product line and didn't even know what a "plinth" was; when I called to get a replacement plinth for one of my Opus 2.
So what exactly is this Ms. Chang doing that she needs a vacation?
It's an embarassment.
Sadly, IAG has recently bought up Castle Loudspeakers . Another of my favorite speakers. I can only expect that they'll completely screw that up, too.
